No I’ve been playing GW for awhile now. Comcast just happen to want to upgrade my modem. Am I jumping to conclusions. Sure that is a possibility. But I ran the diagnostic tool and noticed the packet loss but it seem to be happening outside of my immediate region. I noticed some loss around Frankfurt I think. Maybe New York. Either way far too technical for me.
But in all honesty I can’t say I really care much. If it just keeps happening I will just move on. It isn’t worth it to me to try and find a fix when I can just do something else. Just curious if other folks were still seeing this issue as well because I did a bit of digging and read several replies from previous experiences.
Error Code 7:11:3:191:101
Am now part of the distinguished list of those who are experiencing this error code. Installed a new modem yesterday and now all day today nothing but connectivity issues. But accessing the internet is completely without issue. Just seems to be effecting GW2. Just curious what others ended up doing. If had to move on to another game or not. Because it certainly seems like an issue localized with something around anet servers it seems…..
I stopped playing well over a week ago or so. Maybe longer not sure. It was definately before this Lost Shores event.
Main reason was the dungeons just were not for someone like me. Have to say that was the biggest thing that drove me away. I got a character to level 80 and kind of felt, “what do I do now?” At this point I don’t really have a desire to log back in.
Anyhow that’s my answer.
I am so glad you wrote your post Mad Queen and I have to say I completely agree with you. I can’t say I have experienced as much as you have though, but that is because of what you stated in some of your post.
My highest character is lvl 69 and I have tried a few runs into AC and CM. And as you stated in your original post, that was enough for me. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I really didn’t want to to experience anymore of dungeons. So I basically stopped.
I gave up posting anything here though anymore cause I didn’t really feel all that positive about how my feelings and opinions would be received. I have read enough posts about being “unskilled”, " a whiner" so on and so forth. So didn’t feel it necessary to continue to invite those responses into my experience.
But I’m so glad you posted what you did. I don’t feel as alone. And another thing you posted as well certainly was my experience also. I had to stop doing my few dungeon runs due to not being able to afford anymore repair bills.
So, to conclude I just wanted to say thanks Mad Queen for taking the time to write and post what you did. And for having the courage to say it.
Wow, that actually seemed like a really good idea. At least to me it did. Way to think outside the box there.

I’m gonna have to agree with the OP. I did try to do 2 of the story modes at around the recommended level. I got through them eventually but it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I suppose it comes down to one very simple point for me. Am I enjoying the time I am spending while in a dungeon. For me personally that answer would be “no”.
So I gave up on dungeons for like 30 levels after following the threads on these forums regarding them. Some folks said, “they are just way too easy” while others have stated that they needed to be tuned down. I suppose what wasn’t clear though was what level the people were going into the dungeons in comparison to what the suggested level was for the area. It left me wondering if the folks who stated things were way to easy were at max level and max traits going into a lower level area. I’m aware of the scaling but it certainly seems to make a difference going in at recommended level versus max level.
So trying to keep an open mind I went and tried to do CM explore at lvl 65. I don’t have the best gear but certainly better than what one would have at lvl 45 which it recommends. So after just completing I have to ask myself, do I feel like the time I spent in there was an enjoyable one. I can certainly say it wasn’t as bad a time compared to when I tried an explore path at lvl 45 or so. But if I were to have to give a definitive answer I suppose I would still be leading towards, “no.”
I don’t really care about obtaining gear from these dungeons. I just enjoy seeing content. I won’t re-state what many have said in these threads regarding what their experience has been with trash mobs health and boss fights and one or two shot kills. But they seemed to be rather right on after the experience I just had.
We did finish the dungeon eventually but it wasn’t an experience that left me wanting more. What I have stated is only my own personal “opinion”. Feel free to state that I just need to learn to play or am unskilled. That is completely fine. I can live with not being good at a video game. I suppose I just hope that if developers are looking at dungeons, they will have an answer for individuals like myself who love seeing content.
Thanks for taking the time to read this far. Feel free to flame me if it will make you feel better. Again only stating my opinion and personal experience.
I actually found a great way to deal with dungeons, at least for me. I just don’t do them.
Problem solved for me.
Moving on……
I respect “tigersrule’s” view point and opinion on his first experience in a dungeon. However for the record my first several experiences were completely opposite of his/her’s and certainly left me going in the other direction. To just skip dungeons and enjoy what I can out of the rest of the game. After all, you can’t please everyone right? That is just how these things go.
Flame on.
I completely agree with the OP and would love to see a survey done or something along those lines.
Have been following the dungeon discussions for awhile now. I have tried a few of the lower level dungeons while at level that was required for them. Or perhaps a few levels hire. It was a really rough go and even had to stop doing them because I couldn’t afford to keep paying to have my gear repaired.
So I tried the other day to find a group for CM at level 57. Had no luck and the only real response was that you really need to wait till you are level 80 to do dungeons. I guess I just really don’t understand the scaling system in any way. So think I’m just going to give up and perhaps at 80 they will be a bit more doable.
Only thing I’m sharing here is my experience. It isn’t as much a complaint or a disagreement with the OP. Just sharing what my personal experience has been.
And I suppose for the record I should state I’m a casual unskilled and not very knowledgeable player. I figured I just put that right out there since that is where these discussions usually end up. The “suck less” response or “you don’t know how to play a video game” reply.
But love everything outside of dungeons that I’ve seen. Everything else has been a lot of fun to play with.
