Now this I can agree with. I would like players on my friends list to show up as well.
I finally got the game running. What I had to do was download the entire game on my laptop at work, then copy the data files for the game from my laptop to my desktop. I’m surprised it worked because it’s a vista laptop and a desktop running 7, I had assumed there would be compatibility issues but apparently not.
yes I have ran the install as administrator every time
to this. Gonna try downloading the program on my laptop today, or copying it from a friends computer tomorrow
Just giving this a quick bump before going to bed to see if anyone else has anymore ideas
Thank you for your response! Unfortunately though, neither one of those suggestions worked
Still having this issue. Hoping this is fixed soon so I can finish my montly achievement. So close…
I’ve had this issue since the game launched. What has worked for me, is go into the sound settings and turn down the sound quality by a notch. For some reason maximum sound quality seems to just be trying to process too much infomation in large scale battles and crashes.
disable crossfire. I got a very large FPS boost my disabling crossfire. From my understanding GW2 is not optimized for crossfire.
I’ve been trying to download this game all last night and this morning, but the download refuses to complete. I’ve tried uninstalling the game and re downloading several times now, turning off both my antivirus, and my firewall, rebooting, resetting my network, nothing will let me get past 19 files remaining. It sucks that it’s so close to finishing downloading. Once it stops it just says “Download failed! Please check your internet connection and try agian (2)” I’ve had this problem when downloading the game or doing updates in the past, but they usually resolved themselves the next day or so. Should I just wait, or does anybody have any better suggestions.
