Removing WVW from map completion and PvE monthlys would be ideal, but if not, weekly color rotation would be massively welcome.
That is my problem. I am at 99% missing a couple POIs and Vistas being held in Red. My server hasn’t been Red for a long time. It is frustrating.
I completely agree, I just need 2 to finish my legendary, after grinding for months on end to get every thing possible. I am rewarded by a vista that is inside the enemy’s main base that is in no way possible to get to.
Since how often is a top server able to wipe out the entire camp on eb? pretty much never
I have been on Jade quarry for long time and I know for sure sea of sorrows or santum of rall will never let JQ take their final main base.
Every time I tired for hours on end. They will all rally there to defend and I would ultimately fail.
I feel like area net made it cost so much because they want us to buy gems, since I work in real life there is no way I can make 1800 gems worth of gold in game to transfer server.
and If i want to transfer back, I would have to pay that same amount.
good job anet, nice trying trying to rob our money. well I give in, I’ve been a dedicted gw2 fan since the start. but this is how I am reward for grinding hundreds of hours for your end game legendary? that sucks. I d rather go play starcraft and I will. goodbye gw2.
I’d love to hear from you folks about this thread
I’d also love to post in the thread about what some of our plans are, but there is a time and place for everything.
I am pretty sure this ll get buried but it would be an awesome idea to incorporated tokens in the story mode after the 1st time you’ve done them. Maybe half the tokens or something.
I really enjoy the times when i revisited the story after doing the exp mode 5 billion times. But most of the time I don’t because I don’t get rewarded and getting rewarded would be 1 step closer to the legendary…
just my thoughts
So basically what Robert is saying; is that we can only be good at one dungeon.
You can be good at all dungeons. Just don’t run them back to back in rapid succession.
So you have a full set of armor players want that costs like over 1000 tokens making players want to do the dungeon successively to get them…. and so they get less reward (Punishment) for it…. or they have to go do another dungeon which is another few hours (something they don’t want to do) to get it.
wow that sounds like so much fun…. yeah no thanks
basically what the above comments said, You are going to dictate what the players can and cannot do in their time by making it not worth it.
if you only have time to play for 30 minutes a day perhaps you should consider playing anything other than an mmo…
perhaps you should consider being an adult and having a full time job? but of course you won’t understand till you are older, so no point discussing this. Just know that a lot of older players want to play gw 2 for fun to escape the real world.
But once you hit level 80 and discover it takes 4 – 7 hours which you cannot afford to spend to achieve the things you want on a game, you feel ripped off because the game is advertised for the causal gamer.
Tired it today, took an hour, failed, people left, spent all those hours in dungeon for nothing. Tired everything said here, the running around, the focus fire. Repair bill went up to like 30k, so 2 people gave up.
Total waste of time, didn’t gain anything, just a big repair, at no part was this fun. gw 1 was way more fun, you can see what skills the boss used, so then you would react accordingly.
The amount of “skill” required in this = how good you are at running around before a mob that can shoot a 10 k damage to your face kills you.
before the buff, me and my guild friends took several tries and finally figured out how to do the dungeon. We were pretty happy with that, so we went back for more.
Now its just a plain boring mad dash because no more skill was involved,
increasing dps of monsters and their hp so it makes sure you die is not fun, figuring things out is fun, but I guess the developers lost sight of that and decided make everything kill you easier = fun.
needless to say, I won’t me playing much gw2 any more,
call me what you like, noob, too lazy to figure out tatics blablbla but I am a grown man and need to work to pay the bills, I have 2 hours at most to play this game and I came on to have fun and this is no fun at all. It geared towards kids who could spent 8 hours a day who can play this game so much that they can do it with ease.
Kudos to them because that what I was in gw 1, but now I can’t be spending 6 – 8 hours figuring out dungeons and grinding money from henches on the map so I can go in a dungeon to lose all of it in repair bills and have nothing to show for me.
On the record I completed CM, Ta, cof and others I forgot the name of after fail the first few tries and then everything became smooth because me and my guild mates figured it out. Now there is nothing to figure out, the developers just decided to buff hp and dps to make it impossible. No fun at all. so I am off to other games.
As someone mentioned earlier; Giganticus is to Arah what Shiro was to GW1.
A relatively easy encounter that sorts out the baddies from the coordinated by utilizing mechanics that require groups to think.
inb4 drivel about one-shot blah blah: I did the encounter, and nope!
I am a full toughness guardian with everything set to toughness and armor, and yes he 1 shots me when he teleports, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
No shiro is not the same, I can solo shiro after the 1st time I saw him, I can solo him now if I go back on gw 1 just for laughs.
~thinks fondly of Shiro (Nightfall version that is) and the literal terabytes of information it would take to house the amount of threads that would instantly pop up complaining about him if he manifested in some iteration of GW2~
One can only hope the old man makes one final appearance in an expansion to remind you why GW1 vets still at the least twitch when they think of the words ‘Battle Scars’ and ‘Impossible Odds’.
Shiro is in no way a comparison to this boss. It is not even a remote comparison . Every boss on Gw 1 was fun, you can see what skills they use, then find the skill to counter it. I took 1 look at Shrio, and I took flashing blades as a sin and that was it, I tanked hiskitten and killed with with ease.
bosses like this thing requires dodging perfectly and praying it works. You are trying to dodge the ground circles + his 1 hit kill teleport attacks while hitting him with a range weapon.
And, since you are looking at the ground trying to dodge these circles that are pretty much the entire floor, you have no time to look at his 1/2 second animation where he teleports and then proceeds to 1 hit kill you. Which is just stuipd, there is also no team work at this point involved, it is simply just running around hoping you dont die.
Which in it self is not fun,
and when you do win, what do you get? nothing. you just spent 20 k on repairs and now you get 2 k worth of loot, and now post patch you dont even get tokens to show for it.
Devil may cry is 1 of my favorite games of all time, it is ridiculously difficult but you can see the animation and master the skills to beat the bosses and eventually you can. This boss is just simply ridiculous.
