Hey guardians!!

So, I’m level 80 and have gems to spend on gear…I was wondering; what is the definitive PVE build at hte moment.

I really want to “support / tank” utilizing condition removal and group healing through my current build of Mace/Shield and then Staff.

Everywhere I look though, people are saying the DPS meta is the way to go with zerker gear and GS/Staff.

Can anybody give me a definitive answer on what is the best build for a SUPPORT / TANK Guardian? Is this even viable? Should I just go DPS and use my virtues and few traits as condition removal adn support and focus entirely on DPS? Any help would be great here I can’t really find a definitive answer on the internet anywhere.

TL: DR — What’s the definitive build for a PvE guardian atm?

So myself and a few friends recently returned from like a year ago, and I have one friend who wants to play but doesn’t have the game. I was gonna buy it for him, but noticed there’s no digital download for STANDARD EDITION. Is this correct? Is it impossible to purchase just the standard edition digital download of this game?

So I guarantee this has been brought up – but I didn’t want to sift through the threads. Does anybody else miss the PvE raid bosses / gear treadmill? Does this game feel rewarding enough on the PvE aspect? It’s like “Wow, I look cool, but this sword still hits like a noodle!!” I think cosmetic rewards are awesome, but what is more valuable to the player – to reward him/her for their hard spent time? A cosmetic sword or a sword that NOTICEABLY hits harder? You FEEL more powerful?

I think the 80 end game will turn people away because there is no “pve” progression…

Counterpoints: BUT GEAR WILL BREAK WVW and SPVP!!! Okay, agree. Flag the “Tier” gear so it can’t be brought into these avenues. Discuss?
