Two months later: "Render Sampling: native" still bugged.

Hi,

using EVGA GTX560ti FPB, very latest Nvidia Driver release 306.97.

As soon as the camera touches the world geometrie, everything becomes transparent, so you cannot see anything in a haze of geometry and multiple layers. This problem is persisting for two months already now.

Funny thing is, it was ok with a previous driver release, but your Launcher wanred me to upgrade my graphics drivers. Changing render mode to Supersample or Subsample fixes the problem, but subsample gives me eyecancer and supersample gives me 6 FPS in large battles.

I can has fix FINALLY, pls?

Ridiculous FPS dropsonly in certain areas/after zoning

Hi,

so not only do i have to run the game with supersampling enabled instead of native since it STILL does not work with the latest Nvidia drivers (everything becoming transparent as soon as the camera hits world geometry), but i also still get ridiculous FPS drops in certain areas.

I usually get 50 fps+, now with supersampling it’s more like 40+, but when i try to go near the command area in Black Citadel for instance, it reliably drops down to <5 fps. I also get these FPS drops sometimes after zoning. Exiting to character selection and re-entering the gameworld from there often fixes it, in very rare cases framerate also “recovered” after a few seconds (i usually exit as soon as i get that fps bug, though, since it seems to get my GPU load to 100%).

Had this error multiple times since the weekend. Tracert shows no problems until after two hops in the plaync.network.

Could we please get a response, because the quote from the ticket makes it seem like you guys still are convinced it is the ISPs or end users fault…

It seems that the server i am on has nothing to do with the lag. I transferred from Riverside to Dzagonur, and come evening or weekend, the game is completely unplayable. Just now i was running through Malchors Leap, got 30+ sec lagspike, was instantly dead when the client catched up, nothing i could do.

The bottleneck causing these problems for a lot of us users seems to be located somewhere else. I have no problems in any other online application, in this specific instance i was in voice the whole time and had NO issues there at all.

Maybe disable repair costs and drastically reduce travel expenses while you are not able to fix the underlaying issue? It is no fun at all having to pay half a gold a day just because of lag that, considering all evidence, seems not even to be located on the users end.

/€: Just to put this into perspective and shut up all the guys accusing ISPs or user-end hardware: i am able to play Fallen Earth, a single shard MMO, hosted in north america, from europe, without any notable lag right now, while GW2 at the same time, despite being hosted on an european server, is outright UNPLAYABLE. There were at least 20 ppl around me in Fallen Earth as well, so the lower population argument doesn’t apply either. When i lagged out in GW2 i did not see a single person, anyway.

/€2: tried logging back into GW2, got disconnected within 2 minutes. Error code: 7:11:3:189:101. All other online applications continue to function as expected.

Severe lag issues that startet after entering a personal story instance in Lornar’s pass (Server Riverside EU). Delays above 5 seconds, where nothing would move and no actions would take place on my screen at all.

Everything else is fine, other online applications and pingtest.net report excellent results for my connection. A friend who did the personal story with me does not have any issues at all, he is playing from austria while i am playing from germany.

I finally got disconnected from the server after 30+ seconds of lag.

/€: I tried transferring to Dzagonur. I have the exact SAME ISSUES there, while nobody else reports them. Got disconnected after a while, too. Error Code: 7:11:3:189:101.

You guys sure seem to have a funny infrastructure setup. Does the worker that handles my connection stay the same even on another server?

I had zero issues in headstart, i can usually play smooth at night, and all is possibly linked to one of the patches around launch-time.

Game not playable for me atm period. Also, sadface.

/€2: Upon changing server back to Riverside, i now cannot connect to the game at all (it has been several minutes since the transfer). Error code: 42:0:9001:3928.

Problem persists through client relaunches.

/€3: Able to login again, no lags at all anymore. (22:56)

See Topic. Is Anet even aware of this?

Background: Dragon maps are completely unplayable during peak hours (Riverside EU). Not only is there horrible lag (we are talking 20sec+, up to minutes), players also get kicked from the server frequently, even when in areas that are not as densely populated as the dragon maps, and also even in personal story instance areas.

Game is NOT playable atm on Riverside for many useres (maybe all the players that got kicked during dragon fight? confirm/deny pls), while some other players report everything being fine.
