Guild Wars 2

I know how that feels. :p I play a Sylvari Elementalist and I just recently had a painful quest. It was a quest of my level but I would die to the first group of mobs. I went to WvW and leveled up 2 levels and went back, I got to the end and then got massacred again. So I came back with a friend, a couple levels lower than me, and a difficult fight later we actually beat it. But I must have tried to beat it by myself at least 20+ times.
Sorry this isn’t really helpful but it felt good to rant about it. xD

My advice, level up a few levels and try again. :)

“Joining one of the three orders is not required to play the game, though progress through the personal storyline will be blocked at some point if the player doesn’t make a choice. Once a choice is made, changing affiliation is still possible “with a little effort”."

There are many overflow worlds. You and your friend are probably in different worlds. Join a party with your friend and then right click on his/her picture and then click “Join”.
