I think that GW2 needs a little depth. I think that this game has successfully executed a great feeling mmorpg. However, I believe it lacks end-game content. What if you could earn another class’s utility skill? What if you could go on epic quests for certain ones? I think this would add so much depth and individuality to the game. But that’s just me!

If you could earn another class’s utility.

Which weapon set would you use?
Which utilities would you get?

You can still play condition mes without confusion :P and if you do, confusion is NERFED, not taken out of the game.

1 more sword/focus combo:
use #4. then #5. then again #4 while casting #5. #3 #3 #2. dmg going from blured frenzy and iWarden in same time
(+ if u stay on place where been temporal centair and use #3. u got retal boon)

I personally don’t cast curtain because it takes a little bit and sometimes my warden dies if i don’t react fast enough. But yes, you can use the light field combo too.

(if you’re an asura you can use the poison field which comes in handy when u don’t have poison on your team.)

Hahaha i didn’t see that warhorn bit! But yes! You can send 6 clones but with different shatters :P it’s pretty fun once u get it down! If anyone has any questions please ask!

..wrong. Because to me it certainly sounds like he intents to Mind Wrack six clones.
But getting Vulnerability via Diversion (combined with the Dazzling-trait) and then instantly sending three new clones to shatter seems legit.

Anyhow. I am already using this build and it ’s fun!

Also, try it from ranged, it looks like 6 clones, and believe me, your group will know because they see 6 of you jump onto 1 mob.

Mid-long range PvE Mesmer. Berzerker.
Main Weapons: Greatsword / Sword + Focus
Interchageable: Staff

20 in Domination

  • Mental Torment – Mind Wrack causes 20% more damage
  • Great sword Training – +50 power w/ GS, 20% recharge

30 in Dueling

  • Phantasmal Fury – Phantasms have fury
  • Deceptive Evasion – Create a clone when you dodge
  • Blade Training – +50 precision while wielding one handed sword/spear.

20 in illusions

  • Precise Wrack – 10% higher critical-hit chance with Mind Wrack
  • illusionary Elasticity – Gives you an extra bounce.

With this build my Mesmer is currently sitting on 110% crit dmg without foods. I wanted to find a build that deviated from the typical 20/20/0/0/30. I liked the basis of the build, but I felt it needed more damage. The 10% crit dmg is better for me illusionary persona is great, I believe that just having the raw damage from your Mind Wrack + Cry of Frustration will suffice.

Some key tips:

  1. You can have more than 3 illusions/clones at a time (for shattering purposes.) Once you queue a clone to shatter, you can cast 3 more and you can effectively send 6 clones.
  2. There are some spells that can be casted while you’re casting a longer skill. (Such as illusions) While you’re casting you can use spells like feedback that will instantcast and not break your channel.
  3. Use temporal curtain to pull spread out mobs together for your group so they can cleave it. That way people get more overall damage off.
  4. This build has 2 modes. One is the zerker mesmer, the other is an illusion mesmer. If you swap the traits around you can turn into an illusions build. (ask if you would like to know traits.)

PROS
10% higher crit damage than generic shatter build.
You can basically live with just GS
Safe, high dps from ranged.
Illusionary Elasticity makes you very effective in group situations.
Your phantasms have crit, with 10% high CD on shatter, illusions are out more.

As a mesmer, unless you’re stacking in a dungeon, you find yourself at ranged alot. I believe bringing the most damage is the most important given our long invulnerability.

CONS
Super squishy (because this is a glass cannon.)
1 less shatter when you’re at close range
No might stacks from shatter.

Combos

SUPER FAST 6 clones full damage shatter
My cookie cutter combo for Mob situations.

  1. Create 3 clones either by summoning with weapon or dodging.
  2. Press F2
  3. Cast mirror images, dodge once (you’ll have 3 clones, fast.)
  4. Press F1
  5. Watch 6 clones terrorize your poor target.

High damage mind wrack
You hit them with diversion for it’s mass vuln stacks, then mind wrack. Same cookie-cutter 6 clone method.

  1. Create 3 clones either by summoning with weapon or dodging.
  2. Press F3

Sword/Focus combo
Sword focus is pretty good considering you can get some vulnerability on with sword 3 during your warden’s spin.

  1. Cast 5 with focus and start the casting time.
  2. If you have feedback equipped, cast it during focus 5. Gives your illusion a combo field.
  3. Sword 3
  4. Dodge for clone generation
  5. Sword 3 again, blink infront of target. (binds them + vuln stack)
  6. Sword 2 for invuln
  7. F1 for Mind Wrack

Easy Chaos armor with Staff
A lot of mesmers don’t do this, it kills me.

  1. 5 with staff for Chaos Storm
  2. 2 with staff for Phase retreat (while you’re in the storm)
  3. Continue your Chaos Armor period with Staff 4.

Greatsword DPS
Simple, but what I use when I’m at range

  1. Cast greatsword 2 (for the vuln)
  2. Cast greatsword 4 for iZerker
  3. Dodgeroll for clone
  4. F1/F2 shatters are interchangeable

The Stackomancer is based off of the Necromancer’s ability to gain 10 might stacks from your BiP (Blood is Power). Capitalizing on that, you can easily get 10-25 stacks depending on your play style. As you should know, might doesn’t only give power, but it also gives you Condition damage. I have done up to 120-130 per tick in mediocre blue gear.
There are 3 ways you will capitalize on might stacks:
BiP
Weapon Swapping with Sigil of Battle
Life Blast in DS mode

Here is the basic sequence of battle. I typically start off with Specter 2, then Dagger 5 (If there is enough time, if there’s not..) then use BiP (The earlier you get it in the more damage you get to do over time.) Immediately use Dagger 4 to transfer your bleed onto opponent (Dagger 4 has a blind and a condition transfer effect.). As this places blind too, and possibly another stack of bleed, cast epidemic right away if you want to do some AoE,append this with a final Scepter 3 with the 7-12 bleed stacks from that combo.
Swap over to staff after that. This should give you 2 stacks of might +BiP. Spam your marks and get ready for another epidemic, if you didn’t hit multiple marks, go into DS mode right away and spam life blast and fear, the more you use life blast, the more might stacks you get. If you’re doing a boss battle, I can manage to stay in DS mode for awhile, giving me 25 full stacks of might.

Rinse, Repeat.

With the 20% corruption recharge reduction, and 2 of hoelbrak, fire and strength runes for armor, you’ll be doing a +80% might duration considering your traits. BiP will have a very short cooldown, meaning you’ll have your might stacks almost longer than it is down.

I personally run all rampage gear. Because as much as I’d like to say that necros are completely condition based, investing every point into condition damage sets you up for tight situations. (i.e. when you need to kill things that are immune to bleeds.)

I use a might stacking build to build on the two damage stats, since we have BiP, using 2 strength, hoelbrak and fire runes for your armor will give you a clean 60% might duration increase. I can typically stack to 14-20 without any problems. Plus, when you use sigils of battle on both sets of weapons you get a free 4 might stack right there.

One of the best ways to AoE on necromancers is, of course, epidemic. Let me just give you a run down on what I do in a group fight – (I use scepter/dagger + staff.) I open with scepter’s 2, then 5. I then use BiP then 4. (This transfers the bleeds from BiP to your opponent. You should be able to get a quick 7-10 stacks like that. Once you do, just hit epidemic and watch a whole group disappear. Swap to staff while everything is cd, and spam all your marks, switch back to scepter immediately. (This keeps ur might stacks up.)

That’s just how I play, it’s pretty effective from an AoE point of view.
