they did this to prevent ppl from stacking speed with running through the line multiple times
Not a good enough reason, you can stack swiftness from a guards Symbol of Swiftness.
we should be able to with the curtain as well.
you cannot stack either.
No, but Symbol refreshes Swiftness, Curtain does not. That’s the fix it needs.
Got nothing for villager win. Got 3 Personalized bags for ghost win.
Not a lot of forgiveness for going AFK or getting disconnected, in SAB or really any other bit of the game. Make room for queues and remove people from sitting there for hours doing nothing sure, but, just, ouch.
Been trying to get through World 2 Zone 2 Tribulation Mode tonight and I keep getting booted to character screen (but no disconnection from the net altogether) right around the same area every time I reach it, losing all progress.
It’s unfortunate, but that’s the game I suppose.

Ouch. Connection dropped for ~5 seconds in W2 Z2 Tribulation a good ways through the zone. I guess it’s a sign I should take a break from it.

Tribulation Mode is where the real hair pulling stress is, as intended. I cannot wait for more!
Difficulty aside, it always makes me wonder why some gamers praise so much the feeling of rage, frustration and stress induced by games. By that logic, the ultimate nirvana should be when someone one day will decide to kill himself becouse of a game. I mean, the more rage and stress the better, right? Never understood this logic…
For me, it’s just a nice a change. Games were more difficult for me when I was younger (probably because I was younger more than just the games themselves), so it’s a bit of a switch up and reminder of a time when I had to set the controller down and come later. It really gets me looking at things I’m interacting with differently.
Also with this style, unlike say that of Dark Souls, it still feels very playful, like a prank, as I believe it was, Josh (apologies if I’m wrong), described it in another thread.

Personally I’m loving it as I did before. I think my only complaint for normal mode World 2 is that some of the runs between checkpoints are a bit long while learning the content, but now that I’ve made it through, I feel comfortable and confident that it will be much easier. The Dart room, once the mobs were out of the way and I determined where the darts are positioned I was able to fly through it.
I would guess if I had more Baubles to spend on upgrades it would have been easier still.
This exact happened the same way with World 1 when it was initially release.

A 20% damage reduction across all phantasms is unlikely but I’d happily see Phantasmal Berserker, Duellist and Swordsman getting a damage reduction in favour of a utility buff to make them more than just boring external sources of dps.
As a Mesmer, I’d be all for this. I’m not confident in ANet’s ability to do it properly as I feel everything I had played as a “utility” Mesmer continues to be toned down/nerfed, but if they could manage something interesting/worthwhile out of it I’d be willing to give it a go.
Perhaps some discussion/testing of things like this before throwing it at us on Patch Day for once. I understand why we don’t get notes/discussion early for this game, but I think it would greatly help both the players and the designers.
Please just let people play the way they want. This goes for both sides. If you don’t want to zerg, don’t zerg. If you do want to, do so. It’s nobody’s business one way or another, and nobody should be giving anyone any trouble, on either side of the line.
I want to play in such a way that the event is successful. From my experience, large zerg champion farming has failed every time I have done the event with that type of setup. If the way in which others are playing impact what I want to do in game (100% successful events), then it is a problem.
I will say it’s not a problem with them playing the way they want to, but more with the way the content was designed. I certainly like the idea of these large scale invasions where a large number of players need to work together somewhat to be successful, but if this champ farming thing is indeed the cause or part of it, to these events failing, then it is having an effect on my experience, small as it may be.
This is an outrage.
I blame Kiel.
I just love when someone gets DC’ed and we can do nothing but go on down 1 person (generally isn’t a massive problem) or the entire party gets booted for some reason (not sure what causes this, updates?, leader leaving instance?).
Always seems to happen on last fractal or boss.

I speak for everyone that shares the common ideas of Time Theories, this was mistake on Arenanets part. Thus you either do not fully understand the situation or you just over look the facts.
You most certainly do not speak for me, mate.
It can be done. Perhaps a bit more challenging, but still doable. Half of them will fall off in the first 3rd of the puzzle.
I still don’t understand why it’s so difficult for some people.
There are couple spots you can get caught on, but it’s intentional and easy to quickly get off of.
It takes minimal effort to hit jump and turn the camera. (for myself anyway, I should assume that for some they can not or are not used to using these things well).
You can look at the path while in the waiting area to determine where you need to go.
The only things that I can see MIGHT be an issue is number of people blocking view somewhat (more so if there are larger races in at the time), poor connections/computer, and anyone who double-taps to dodge (though it’s a mostly hold W hit space turn camera with mouse puzzle).
Too many games losing too much difficulty. Seems everything ends up way to easy or rarely way to difficult. Middle area is lacking. If they feel they need to change it, so be it, but I would agree that perhaps making 2 versions of it or some title for doing the original, more challenging version, would be great.
