Haha.. people don’t know, I think the WTS qualifiers clocked somewhere in the realm of 60 total disconnects during games, throughout all the matches. Those numbers are not fact checked, as I wasn’t able to view the Rough Boyz vs. Memory of Vyndetta matches, which were from what I hear, hours of disconnects, completely on the player’s end.

Yeah, I was disconnected every 30-60s as soon as I entered the game map and didn’t stop until I went to a friend’s house

My team also came to that conclusion for those reasons, Ostrich.

I want to link the VoDs from yesterday and highlight the fact that every single kyhlo game against Rough Boyz, we are ahead 50-100 points when we get DDOSed (it’s like 5 games in a row with that same pattern).

Uhh some how my separate thread became the original post in this thread.. Whoever wants to know my team’s POV of the story of what happened yesterday read the first post. Also to whoever thinks rough boyz wouldn’t know java or my IPs, java has known kaypud on rough boyz for eight years, and I have known 4/5 rough boyz since beta two years ago.

Hey all, I’m Young Thadeus, team captain of In Honor of Vyndetta. I’d like to shed some light on my team’s perspective on what happened last night.

Note: I AM NOT NAME CALLING OR BLAMING, JUST STATING FACTS OF WHAT HAPPENED.

I’ll start with the obvious, DDOSes were abundant.
They started in our games against Rough Boyz. As soon as we would win a decisive team fight or small skirmish or we pulled ahead in points, I would be the first to be DDOSed. If we were still winning after I was gone, Java on my team would be DDOSed next. Now, it may be a confidence, but both java and I have known Kaypud and Zoose on Rough Boyz for about two years, same with skovos but he was at his parents house, so a different IP. Both Crysis and OP are relatively unknown and have hidden their IPs
On the first game we played TURB, we stayed ahead in points even after I DC, then java DC and TURB refused to honor it, resulting in a win for TURB (this is important because in our second bo3, Grouch enforces a rule where we have to honor sit out DCs, which seems unfair because it isn’t enacted until our second set of bo3). The second game, we had no DCs and took the game relatively easily. On kyhlo, we had DDOS after DDOS resulting in restart after restart. We had about 6 restarts on kyhlo, and right before every single DDOS we were ahead in points. Eventually Grouch decided to not reset anymore and any DCs would be “tough luck”. Again, no honor sitting out was enforced at this point and TURB took the series. Throughout this bo3 I disconnected about 20 times, and only during the games as we were pulling ahead. All of this is verifiable via VoDs but I’m mitt at home to link time stamps.

After that loss, we played CD and Blacklisted, both of those teams I had a combined 1 DC, only at the start of the very first game.

After these two bo3s, I move to a friends house, and low and behold, I don’t DC again.

Next, we play TURB again. Kaypud’s computer overheats in this bo3 and this is where Grouch enforces the honor 4v4 rule, very unfair to us that it’s started now. We pull ahead with a 3 cap, then they catch back up 4v4 because, I believe, their comp is better 4v4 since I sat out (ele). Then at the end, java is DDOSed again, although admittedly TURB probably would’ve won without the DDOS (the first time in both bo3s).

At this point, the stream has been off, and Java is still being DDOSed right as we pull ahead against them. Verifiable via VoDs that will be played not live. This is very suspicious, making me think someone in the game is beyond it.

TURB ends up winning because Java keeps dcing.
One honorable mention I have is at one point, Java DCs and kaypud instantly stops his 1v1 and let’s skov cap mid on kyhlo.

TL;DR I feel we were treated very unfairly by only enforcing an honor 4v4 after we already lost our first bo3 which TURB won solely from us being DDOSed and them capitalizing on having more players.

DDOSes also happened at the same points in the game even after the stream was turned off (right after we won a team fight or pulled ahead in points). This makes it seem as if someone in the live game or spectator was behind it.

TURB played well, but I don’t believe they outplayed us, and I don’t feel they deserve their second place spot.

The whole thing was managed very poorly, I’m sorry for grouch who had to be in the middle of this.

I do not wish anyone to go through what my team went through, so I will not be playing again, and I cannot recommend this game competitively to anyone that asks. This community doesn’t deserve any esports.

Congrats to Abjured, they have been ahead of everyone for months. Too bad we didn’t get to play them with our new roster.

Silly thread, but you’re putting yourself ahead of so many better eles than yourself. You’ve been playing for a couple days with strong teams and you put yourself above eles like “insert 10 very good ele names here”? Hmm, no offense and your team is great, but you died to me without having to use corrupt boon (and I’m a casual pvp’er). You used cleansing fire early too. Is that mechanical skill or lack of? Your vod is two months old. You dueled me probably in my first week playing, if not my first couple days.

I’m better than all your bad eles you can list, there’s a reason I’m on a “top” team after just coming back since launch and you or any of your top ten eles aren’t.
Also I agree with you my team is pretty bad, but everyone doubted me when I first came back so I had to settle. Now my team is second place and I’m the second best NA ele

Also I’ll duel you if you ever want just whisper me in game, necros are my hardest match up but I can’t imagine you are anywhere near the level of noscoc or else you would actually be somebody

When we scrimmed you, you would have never killed me, and eventually I would’ve killed you in our one 1v1, but I also duel the best ranger in the game (Vyndetta) way too much so I have a lot of practice against ranger.

Maybe you were trying a new build, too. Pm me in game when I’m on if you wanna duel ever

I have no idea who this Nova Stiker guy is, but it is rather sad how bad “pro” eles are. Thaddeus, Skovex, Phantaram, they all seem to basically be at the same level of elementalist as someone who has played it for a month. Now, I don’t generally see better eles because the class is so easy to play and offers no incentive to get better, but hey, that’s what this game is about now. #celewars2 for the next 6 months until feature patch 3.

It’s funny that you say this, because I’ve literally only played this game for a month and a half (I’m Thad).
As far as skill goes, a lot more goes into this game than mechanical rotations (which as far as ele goes, phanta and I are the top 2). With that said, phanta has a lot more game knowledge, rotational knowledge, and positional knowledge than me (since I’ve only played a month). This makes phanta, in my opinion, the best ele in the game (better than denshee) because of how far ahead he is. Every class in this game is easy to pick up and do well with, it’s all the other kitten that makes you a better player.

Wow, I come back to this game for two and a half weeks after a two year break and I’m already the 9th best player… ez game.

I agree, I spend a lot of time between tournies costume brawling and it would be cool to be awarded something for my boredom

The game as a competitive edge AND good players. You aren’t one of them. Obviously the more you play with your team and against other competitive teams, the more of a competitive edge you will get.

So keep this on necro. Plague signet is broken. Until it’s fixed to not copy and actually transfer conditions, it’s a conditon dump for the necro. It’s not that great. It doesn’t nullify anything.

Corrupt Boon is single target and really only useful vs guardians when trying to quickly take him out 2v1.

Have you never heard of epidemic? Do you understand how deadly epidemic + corrupt boon + engineers can be? You are picking and choosing what abilities you want to judge necros on. It’s very one-sided.

Dagger offhand is mediocre. Not as useful as Focus (as focus gives you a free corrupt boon and good lifeforce generation). You don’t actually remove 3 conditions. You remove 1 at at time per person it bounces to. So if no one else is in range, you’re only going to get one removal. Weakness is really only good vs low crit classes, which are typically Solider Amulet tank classes.

And I’m basing this on the replacement of the guardian because every single high end team that has been running with a necro HAS been replacing them with a guardian.

You can stop theory crafting. What I’m saying isn’t theory. It’s tested. I have over tourny 120 games on my necro. The class falls short in every area compared to others and is not worth bringing.

I have over 500 tournament WINS on my guardian. Any kind of GOOD necro is deadly against me.
