Guild Wars 2

I am a returning player (played a year after launch then stopped) and I am trying to figure out what I missed.

I am mainly interested in WvW and PvP and wanted to know what the current way to get the best/better gear is. I am a Mesmer and I currently have a legendary Sunrise and Mystic Wand/Pistol as my other weapon set. I have 3 pieces of Flame Legion and 3 pieces of Lich gear. I think my jewelry is my weakest stats wise.

Hey everyone,

I am coming back to GW2 from playing back in the day (first year of launch) and am looking for a decent WvW focused, PvX guild on Sea of Sorrows. I am looking to be at least semi-hardcore and get my character up to date. I am also NA EST and play a Mesmer.

A little background:

I came over to SoS within the first couple months of launch and rolled with a guild called Aggression [AGG] during the time period SoS was in the first tier, winning it week after week. I was very hardcore and very WvW focused. I was also first in the guild to achieve a legendary weapon.

Besides GW2, I played Runescape for many years and led a F2P warring clan for some time that was pretty good. Before all the changes, I was a level 132 with 5 to 7 99’s and had over 300 mill. I also played WoW for quiet some time (BC-Draenor) and led a guild during WOTLK, we took down most of the raids and went 10/12 in ICC 10 and 8/12 ICC H 10, 8/12 in ICC 25 and 6/12 in ICC H 25. I also did hardcore PvP for some time. I was a guild leader in SWTOR as well, being one of the top end operation guilds and the most geared SW Juggernaut for the first 6 months of the game. Lastly, I was one of three leaders in a hardcore Archeage guild for 8 months where we did frequent sea battles, took down the Kraken, and hardcore PvP’d. Other MMO’s I have played include GW1, SWG, Forsaken World, EvE, LOTRO, and FF: A Realm Reborn.

I find it more likely that either there just weren’t many people in the part of LA you visited, or that you just ended up on a low population instance. The megaserver aspect means that your server doesn’t matter for anything but WvW, so you can find people from any server in your region, even in cities like LA.

I am where the old trade area use to be, and where the lion statue is. Theres not a lot at all.

Though thanks to megaservers all the racial cities are filled with people, so quite a few people just choose which one they prefer

I am currently an officer in a guild on Sea of Sorrow’s (rather not say which, will in a PM though) which specializes in WvW and is part of the NA alliance on that server. I have been with SoS since tier 4 and was there the whole way to our number 1 server ranking. I have a lot of WvW tactical experience and am good at communicating with other guilds.

To keep things fresh, I felt it would be best to search for another community to be a part of. I am looking to join any WvW focused guild with officer positions avaliable (not saying I need to join the guild as an officer). I am NA based and go by Eastern Standard Time. I usually am on during 8pm to 4am GMT on weekday’s and can be on around the clock on weekends.

I just made my legendary so I am currently saving up for a commander title which I am very close too. I also have all the voice applications for communication.

My past experience includes:

Runscape:

•I reached 130 combat with 5ish 99’s and 300 million gold.
•I participated in f2p and p2p warring with many clans and led a few of my own having my best leader record at 145-26-7.

World of Warcraft:

•I formed my own guild that started out as a pretty casual pvp guild that eventually transformed into one of the mainly accomplished PvP guilds on Antonidas.
•Led a second guild which was decently successful in raiding with completion of Naxxaramas and Trials of the Crusader, along with 12/12 10 man, 12/12 10 man heroic, 11/12 25 man, and 9/12 25 man heroic on Icecrown Citadel. We also cleared the other mild raids such as Ruby Sanctum, Vault of Archavon, Onyxia’s Lair etc.

Star Wars Galaxies:

•I played casually awaiting the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic (big Star Wars fan). I played Galaxies for a little over 6 months and mainly accomplished discovering my love for a more social game.
•I also worked vastly on my fifth generation lightsaber and leveled a couple max level characters.

Star Wars: The Old Republic:

•Created a very strong PvP guild.
•Eventually merged the guild with another and we became one of the top raiding guilds on our server.
•I personally was the most geared sith warrior on my server for a time being. I ended up playing Swtor for almost 6 months before quitting.
