First let me say, I love love love the music in this game. I can keep it on while playing and really enjoy every zone and the new music I run across.
I am somewhat of an audiophile and have my nice set of cans and wine next to me while playing, haha.
However, there is one piece of music that is the same everytime and really is the reason I now turn my music off: The Battle Music.
When I am off exploring a Norn zone and the snow is falling, the sun shinning through the clouds, and I see a deer that most likely confused the snow for spring, and I realize my cooking skill is just NOT at level 400 yet… I realize that Bambi must be meat in my bag… but THEN, DRUMS BEGIN TO CHIME, HAMMERS HIT WALLS OF STEEL, TRUMPETS START BLARING INTO MY EARS!!! I spill my wine on my new white shirt, ruining it for good, and Bambi gets to go home to a motherless den, sad and shaken up, unable to leave because of PTSD….
I guess I don’t expect the third symphony overture to begin playing as I slay this innocent beast, and then remain on for minutes after it has been killed. I wanted to still listen to Jeremy Soules beautiful Norn area music.
Alas there is no option to turn off battle music.
So my suggestion here is just that… an option to turn off the battle music so the regular music can continue to play in “harmony” with my experience

This would be so helpful i often wonder whether to shatter or not but am worried I have all phantasms out.
Thanks, there are bloopers in the behind the scenes videos. They literally are a recount of the entire filming event
In case you missed it, this was created during the last Beta Weekend event.
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Tristan Pope, former Machinimist of titles such as “Frostshock” and “Not Just another Love Story”, then turned Blizzard Entertainment cinematic-tist helping to direct such things as the South Park episode “Make Love not Warcraft”, then turned.. yeah still figuring that one out. ANYWHOOOO my personal journeys aside..
I decided to re-create my FIRST EVER machinima video as well as first story-lined machinima video from World of Warcraft sooo many years back called “I Surrender”.
Back then I created that video in the last 3 hours of the final beta weekend. I figured, hey, why not kick off Guild Wars 2, the first MMO since my Ultima Online days to make me all fuzzy inside again with an homage.
So with a little more time and some planning under my belt this time, 15 hours, 3 dedicated “actors”(loyal friends), a very understanding guild(Arcanix), and a hoarse voice from yelling at my monitor to get people to NOT resurrect our characters(as the game promoted) when dead…
