I’d just like to say.. passing all the BS currently in this thread.
Absolutely epic fights in SM last night that went on for a good 2 hours, grats to both Viz and SFR for trying and trying to get the shiny castle back, we battled against superior arrow carts, a flame ram on the ramps to the upper level??? (super tactics obviously) and then a alpha seige gollem thrown in.
With all the skill lag that went up and down during those many pushes Desolation held everyone off.
More times like these please (less lag would be nice)
Brilliant recruitment thread Omphin
Ok so lets get this straight, I have Gmail with 2 step authentication turned on, I also have the mobile authenticator turned on for GW2, this makes “hacking” my account virtually impossible, unless my phone’s stolen.
Yet I’m going to have to create another long strong unique password..
Can you please tell me this will be the only time I have to do so?
Because I don’t see the point in having all the extra protection if you don’t feel my password is safe.
Completely agree with this, would make me take my food and not forget about it all the time
I’m having this same issue on my first main character, whenever I try to zone into Lions Arch it just gets stuck on the LA Loading screen, I can even re-log to another character (same account) and load Lions Arch fine, this is getting extremely irritating now, and it seems to be happening at peak hours.
FOUND A WAY: (source @ http://www.guildwars2guru.com/arenanet-tracker/topic/247164-login-error-42/)
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Port Test.”
4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
5. Edit the “Target” line to include /clientport 80 at the end.
Note: Please make sure /clientport 80 is outside of the quotes
Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” /clientport 80
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe /clientport 80”6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.
If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.
7. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Port Test” and try connecting again.
This is from an ANet official, so go ahead and do it, worked for me. Enjoy.
This sadly doesn’t seem to fix my problem still coming up with the error
Had this for hours now, no reply from support yet either, but I’m aware that it is Sunday, still sucks tho, I’ll be patient and wait out.
