One last thing, any reason for elasticity over invigoration? I saw you run the exact same build as vashury so I was wondering if you were inspired by him or not

Invigoration is useful sometimes. Elasticity provides the potential to instantly delete a squishy class from a fight every time mirror blade is up. That’s a substantial benefit that can’t be ignored.
I am definitely aware of the power of elasticity and mirror blade pyro
. I just find in wvw it is very risky to run without invigoration, as if any burst class interferes with your 1vx, you basically just die due to lack of distortion/diversion.
Eh, there are a ton of assumptions in that statement though. The primary one is that invigoration hasn’t already been procced. Sure, in a perfect world you won’t drop below 50% unless you get surprise ganked, but lets be honest—you’re playing a glassy shatter build; dropping below 50% happens, and it happens all the time. Invigoration will be procced prematurely the vast vast majority of the time, and that simply makes it unreliable.
Having a significantly stronger burst, however, is only as unreliable as your bursting skills. Ultimately it’s a difference between sometimes possibly having an escape, and always being able to burst substantially harder.
I somewhat agree to that. Invig can be very random at times and can screw me over. I just like having invig for when I mistime my shatters and then it just pops right back up for me. I also usually don’t need the 2-3k extra burst so I just having the reset. However, I think both work honestly. Just personal preference.
Along with more survivability, what people don’t see is that invigoration will have a higher damage output in the long run if you run halting strike instead of mental torment. Although, yes, mental torment + elasticity will have a bigger burst, but that is only limited to very small scale fights and 1v1’s where the extra bounce has a higher chance of going back to the target. In bigger fights however, that is nullified because it could bounce off to the next person adjacent the target. I’ve dueled Rylock while running elasticity and him invigoration and I would always get outlasted because of the extra interrupt (halting strike crits around 3-4k)+ extra distortion.

The lag in wvw this week is probably the worst I’ve experienced on this game. It would take me about 20-30 button mashes just to pop out my heal.
I have noticed that i still get pulled even while in blurred frenzy. Is this working as intended?
Another way to log into the game with gemfx/sweetfx on bin is to click on the word “initializing” when youre stuck on that screen.
Yeah, I did need to remove the bin folder that had gemfx to get into the game. If i put it back the game gets stuck on initializing screen. Well looks like im back to the blurry and crap gw2 graphics. Sigh
So now they don’t allow us using gemfx/sweetfx?

1) I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but the effects of IE on “Magic Bullet” adds 1 stack of confusion on the additional bounce. Would it be possible to replace it with a different kind of cc condition (like cripple,chill, immob?). Like what does 1 stack of confusion going to do?
2) Would it be possible to make it so magic bullet can bounce back to the initial target (previous target) if let’s say there’s only 2 targets?

I was just going to make a post on the state of mez in PvP. Every mez I come across is playing pu or a variant of it. Then I came across this post.
I have to say I am glad and can’t wait for this change to be implemented.
We will note see who is a mez and who is not. What I mean is who play the class because they like the class and the game play to those who play the class because of how op a pu build can be..
So to those that are crying about this change, either you learn to play a different build or go play another class.
It that simple.
And pls divide competitive gaming and casual gaming.. It ll help more on state of mes..
PU is a crutch for players who can’t play just as how SA is a crutch for bad thieves who think they are good.
I’m really happy with the change in ileap but am scared of the future nerfs because of this whole scepter torment shenanigans.
Another one of those faceroll bunker condi builds thinking they are actually good with the class. I want to see you do this in a group fight of 10-15

He mentioned it twice that he clearly does not want to run a PU build yet some people on here keep straying off insisting that PU is viable. I guess common sense isn’t common anymore.

Haha yeah I never fear diving in a zerg. Same guy lol.
Love seeing people with this same mindset. :p Only thing funner than diving head first into a zerg is doing so and surviving. While commanding I very quickly learned that PUGs will not charge…unless they see the Commander icon in the middle of the enemy. I always have the expectation of ending up dead, but with the hope of victory for the group.
Longer I can keep attention on myself with my full-tank Guardian build, the more likely my allies are to be taking down more enemies. Of course I have the same kind of mindset with small groups too, just for different reasons. There I figure that if I hold the attention of a Zerg my allies can escape or at least kill off some of the enemy. Mainly because as a Tank Build I have very very little “Escape-ability”. XD Once everything’s in CD I’m screwed.
That’s what I hate the most tbh. Even when our zerg outnumbers the opposing team they sometimes still refuse to dive in and wipe them out. I’ll be the first one you’’ll see do that. Esp if I see a siege being built.

Also those guys were spectators, 4 (got there when i finished the guy I’m sure he knows this well :-) ) jumped on me got killed and I saved the “best” for last
