“The ground and also walls in mostly “inside” areas have “chess board” lines on them”
Apologies, I can’t attached a screenshot at the moment, but the problem has been adressed before with screenshots by other people soon after launch already, but it stil persists after a number of updates (both game and GFX drivers).
For (I think) mostly people with AMD GFX cards the ground and also walls in mostly “inside” areas have “chess board” lines on them. They will even be visible on your character if you’re standing in one.
Such a pity for such a beautiful game.
Has there been any development regarding this issue?
I have a AMD HD 7950 with the latest beta drivers at the moment.

Yes, I have a exactly the same.
Norn stag armor shoulders came with “sky dye” for the spikes(even though i did not have that dye yet).
I then bought the dye so it wouldn’t mess up, because that’s exactly the dye I wanted.
After transmuting using AC exotic shoulders though, it was changed to “Gunmetal dye”.
Same problem with helm horns, but this was changed to “dye remover”, used Or karma vendor helm to transmute.
I have the same problem, I cannot use “Sky dye” to my Norn heavy T3 (stag set) armor’s helm horns, shoulder spikes, chest cloak and legs cloak.
At least for the shoulders spikes I noticed they were already pre-dyed with “Sky” eventhough I had not bought the dye.
After transmuting (using AC exotic shoulders) it was changed to “Gunmetal dye”, a dye I didn’t have either.
I have bought them both now, but just can’t apply “Sky” to the armor slots mentioned above.
My favorite dye for the NORN T3 STAG armor set’s horns (helm) and spikes (shoulders) is the rare “sky dye”. But this is not possible somehow.
When I close the window the horns color is changed to “dye remover?” and the spikes color is changed to “gunmetal”.
I think this happened after transmuting the skins to exotic stats armor.
I remember I used the Orr exotic karma armor for the stats for helm and shoulders slots.
Please look in to this.
In the mean-time, is there a way to fix this client side? (transmute to specific exotic armor, etc?)
Many thanks in advance.
^ + crossfire does not support windowed mode
So actually you meant it was fixed?
I would like to see these poison topics removed…
I love the hammer skin <3
I hate seeing these threads of personal complaints and rage.
Okay the vendor not being available, yeah that was a bit akward, but I definitely do not agree with the TS.
On that note, I would rather see these kind of threads removed as I think it gives a misleading view of the GW2 community and it makes me want to read the forums less and less.
Given its situational, Having your burn tick for 600, gs 5 for 400 and your symbol for 250, that is not something to disregard so easily. Even if you dont get the numbers you still add to the burn duration. If thats the way you like to roll though, the recent gs symbol cd increase will effect you aswell.
Nothing wrong with condition dmg on guardian. Just keep binding blade (5) on them, have eoung burns for upkeep in your build, and keep the mobs in your symbol (4). Added up that can tick for 1k easily. Given you are lvl80 ofc.
Actually you have more condition damage / dot.
With a decent amount of condition damage you can do:
1. Burn ticks for ~600
2. Greatsword 5 ticks for ~400 (pulling the enemies towards you wil cancel the dot)
3. Greatsword 2 (symbol) ticks for ~250
Now that is very decent damage.
The style of the hammer is/was perfect to me.
I like the slow powered up massive hit, heck, make it slower and add more power.
I do not like the new gap closing aspect added to mighty blow.
I think It looks/feels weird.
I understand why it was added and I suppose the guardian could use something to close the gap while having hammer equiped, but it just looks weird.
Perhaps “gap closing” should be more focused on slowing/chilling/ccing when it comes to the guardian hammer.
I really like the effect / idea of the hammer chill trait, although it doesn’t feel usefull enough yet. Because it’s double random and the cooldown is a bit long for double random. But perhaps do more in that direction with guardian Hammer.
