1: press ‘H’
2: Go to pvp
3: go to heart of the mist (skip the tutorial if its your first time there)
4: look into the PvP-locker
5: preview all armor sets till you find it there.

If the set isn’t there, you can’t get it in PvE either. If it is there, you can give us all the PvP-name wich is making the search easier (all PvE-sets are also available in PvP, in PvP they are however named different).

And, as you know, I’ve done that.

Simply put, it can be a mystic forge recipe or anything. The pants were nowhere to be found, nor the shoulders (one of the main reasons it would be kind if a dev answered ) :X

The chest (Slayer’s Coat) is in a pvp set and the only way I know to obtain it in game is by personal story, the sole reason i’m leveling up an elementalist.

I’m asking about the NPC ones, the woman to the left of the first pic. Pretty sure these skull shoulders aren’t cabalist.

I’ve done this thread two or three times before, but I can never see to get an answer. A DEV answer on this would be awesome !

Long story short : what are the armor pieces Priests of Grenth (NPC) use and where can I find them ?

Pic, NPC to the left:

Pants and boots yet to be found, Slayer’s Coat nowhere to be found too.

Info so far :

Chest piece – human 39 personal story reward. It’s probably soulbound on pickup, but one must do the whole personal story thing to discover it :p . Apparently the only item which has this particular skin. The item’s name is Slayer’s Coat.

Gloves – Winged skin, easily found on tp.

Hoodie (not at this thread’s photo) – As seen on this screenshot (http://imgur.com/3C1Jk), Winged too.

Nor pants nor boots were still found. Halp !

Bump for information. I do this, but I really don’t know if it does make a difference.

Magic Find gear is good depending on your build, however. Explorer’s ligh armor gives power and precision with the +% critical damage beign replaced by magic find… altough I change my equipments too.

Halloween Event: Question!

Tutch.2496

I don’t have the answer for your question, but as Anet wants GW2 to deliver all it’s content indepent of level I guess you don’t need to have a certain level to participate.

The event infos were not given yet, but I really hope we’ll have a nice and fun Halloween.

Gaining life force while in deathshroud.

in Necromancer

Tutch.2496

You gain life force from any nearby death, inside or outside DS. Also, Deathshroud #4 recharges a significant amount of LF.

Regarding the amount gained, it’s probably intended. Deathshroud is imo hard to balance, as it is a extra life bar and altough some details about it sucks (#2, I’m looking at you! Why aren’t you instant !?), I like it where it is, altough I’d really like if I didn’t have to put full 30 points at Reaper trait line just to get stability.

Rune of ... (NUMBER)

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: Tutch.2496

Tutch.2496

Some runes have a particular set composed from 2,4,6 parts. These runes give bonuses for each piece of the same type equipped.

The minor rune of the dolyak (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_the_Dolyak) it’s composed of 2 parts. I assume you have 6 minor runes of the dolyak ? You are overkilling the bonus.

If that’s the case, I don’t know if you do get 3x the rune bonus.

I was hunting that armor too. Chest really is PVP Rubric, which does not seems to have a PVE equivalent (or it was not discovered yet).

Gloves aren’t Acolyte, but I’m almost certain I did use a glove with this particular skin. Couldn’t find the pants, and this shoulder may be a pvp one, altough I did not find it too.

Yep, and I see your point.

However, when I tried to trait for more damage with traits, I felt the difference is so small it doesn’t matters. I know there’s a great potential for AOE pump damage with wells as wells really benefit for a greater amount of power.

I’ve decided to “fix” this with runes and equipments, using Rune of the Undead (toughness/condition damage), which gives 5% toughness to condition damage. Paired with Deadly Strenght (5% toughness to power) and seeing that most stuff you get gives power/vitality/toughness, I tought this would be a greater benefit. E.g, specing 30 power in traits gives little to no difference to when you put 30 toughness and Deadly Strenght.

But how do you think I can improve it ? Your version of Wellmancer gave me something to think about and I’ll do some tweeks (e.g removing the 20% bleed for the chill at Curses).

This is my Wellmancer build. It works quite well for WvW defense/agression, but dependes heavily on equipment. I usually call it “bugmancer”

Confirmation for Karma items

in Suggestions

Posted by: Tutch.2496

Tutch.2496

Please, I can’t stress how much this is needed!

We need a pop up screen when a karma item is bought asking for a confirmation. Today I was previewing pvp sets when I accidentaly bought a pvp glove. Worst yet : the most expensive one (~15k) ! I have no means to refund it, so I just lost 15k karma for “slipping” my mouse click

I was farming for Mortal Armor of Grenth… now i’m 15k more distant than what I were previously…

Stats and application

Tutch.2496

As stated by Mockingbird, power does not affect condition damage, they are separated stats.

And no, unfortunately minions do not receive anything from stats, the only exception afaik is the bomb fellas explosion, which is affected by power. Minion stats increase with their level, which I think it’s bad. Minions should receive a bonification from our stats.

Necromancer Pets Need Out of Combat Health Regen

in Necromancer

Tutch.2496

They don’t really regen out of combat, except for blood fiend. Any serious MM build uses well of blood or staff for regen.

I do think Bone Minion should have more armor/HP. He is a serious dps, but can be easily killed by almost every enemy.

State of the Necromancer

in Necromancer

Posted by: Tutch.2496

Tutch.2496

One of the main reasons I decided to get this game was the Necromancer. I saw it and said "wow, finally, a good MMO with a Necromancer! " (i usually play rpgs with Necros, so…)

After hitting level 80, and doing a lot of PVE/WvW during the leveling up process, I came to the conclusion that i’m just hatting playing Necro.

Firstly, I wanted to play as a MM. After 60 levels, I finally gave up trying to make my minions do something solid in game. Then I tried every kitten build I could come across in my mind : Mark/Well, Condition/Epidemic , even D/D necro. Altough I REALLY like the Mark/Well necro, it’s just… “meh”. Nothing special.

None of these builds are outstanding . None of the stuff Necro can do is different (apart from Epidemic, maybe), and in every aspect this class is weaker than plainly every other. I made a warrior and it completely destroys anything my necro can do. This makes bear sad

I really don’t want to give in, but I guess I’ll just have to reroll after all the effort I put and hope that someday Necro will shine.

On a side note : the lack of thematic equipment for Necro bugs me too. Apart from Skull outfit, there’s like no other “dark” thing. Priest of Grenth npc’s clothing is the closer a necro can get from looking like a necro.

all of the minion abilities (outside of putrid explosion and flesh wurm teleport) have cast times, so I believe that’s why they interrupt.

Golem’s rush cast time is like half a second, just the time for the cast bar to appear/disappear. Bugs me as the minion’s are supposed to be separated entities, so why should my actual action be interrupted by a minion action ?

Golem’s rush direction happened more than once (previous patches) but it’s too rare and I don’t really know what causes it. I guess that as the Flesh Golem was not ordered to attack, when I ordered rush it choose the closest target from it instead.

Regarding Minion Abilities

- They shouldn’t interrupt your actions (e.g reviving someone)

Flesh Golem “Rush” bug
- When out of a target, the rush is supposed to be faced to the Golem’s facing direction. Tested it at WvW today and the Golem (which was autochasing an enemy in a battle) turned around to used it.
