Wylen’s Manual is classified as an accessory. Only your backpiece and 2 rings can be infused in the game currently. Any other ascended items will only take the simple infusions bought from the vendor in fractals that go in the unused infusion slots.
I definitely hate that the focus is really our only swiftness. First off, I hate when I set down temporal curtain and then another person pops a shout or something before I get there and cancels it out. And their swiftness buff is for less time than mine would have been.
I also love that if an enemy is chasing me and I use TC it puts me in combat if they run over it and slows me down anyway. Even if I try to use the pull function before the enemy gets there, they’re usually close enough to get pulled and combat again.
So in my personal opinion, I don’t necessarily need a signet. Just a swiftness buff that doesn’t totally suck.
I have had this happen before too. Not really sure how it can be avoided.
To those saying “how are you smashing seals without the hammer?” If its anything like my experiences then I understand. The last time it happened to my group we got all the way to the seals where you need to run back and forth, the last section before the boss. We had the hammer with us the entire time, so we were able to smash the seals. At one point I was carrying the hammer and got downed and quickly res’ed but the hammer was no where to be found. We ran all the way back to the beginning and found nothing. We all wiped and respawned and still nothing.
Other times someone simply dropped the hammer for someone else to pick up due to stacks. It would just disappear and we would have no idea what happened to it. Same thing usually happened where it could not be found anywhere in the instance and respawing didn’t help that.
Seriously. “Abused the Crud.” So is Videogamermike suggesting that players must not only take into account what skills work well for a situation (reflection skills against projectiles), but must also decide at what point using those said skills becomes abuse? Its not like I’m hacking the game. I’m pressing one key to activate a skill to use it as intended.
player 1 – hey why aren’t you using feedback? this boss has lots of projectiles.
Me – I don’t wanna abuse the crud out of reflections. I’ll use less damaging skills to make this a fair fight.
I see, I maybe misunderstood your question then. You asked “SHOULD you play GW1 to get the AP”. Which I thought meant you were asking for advice because you weren’t sure if it was worth it or not. It seems you maybe meant to ask “Do I NEED to play GW1 to get the AP”. Which you now know the answer is yes.
On a side note, I can understand that it might be annoying that you can’t get those APs by playing this game. I would like to point out that these HoM APs are the only ones that can’t be achieved in GW2. It’s not like there are countless categories that make you play other games. Also, there are many achievements in this game that aren’t that clear or have mysterious text explaining them and have to be looked up on wiki or dulfy to figure out where you need to go and what you need to do.
Please take into consideration that it was a way to give something to the GW1 players. When they announced that the next game would be stand alone with no way to transfer characters, people started getting upset that all their hard work in GW1 meant nothing because GW2 would be a completely new game. It was a way to reward the people and allow them to transfer some of their hard work from the first game. It was also a way to get people to continue playing GW1 and work towards a goal for the release of GW2.
If you are not interested in playing another game for the AP then no, you should not play GW1 to get the HoM rewards. I’m not sure you needed the forums to answer this question as it seems you already had your mind made up.
Also, what would truly be disappointing is if they made some easy way to get those AP for people that didn’t play GW1. I played that game for years getting the titles, elite skills, armor sets, weapons, faction points and various other tasks to fill my HoM. Those HoM rewards were definitely earned by anyone who took the time to complete it.
No necros don’t. He listed 5 professions said AOE/cleaving. For the classes listed I would think he meant his clones die to either AOE or cleaving or both, depending on the class.
I forgot to state that it is $300 per month for saved credit cards, just to avoid any confusion.
I ran into this problem a while back. Not sure if things have changed at all though as this was maybe 6 – 8 months ago. I contacted support and they told me that they have a $300 limit for SAVED credit cards for the purpose of younger players racking up unknown charges on their parents card. They told me to delete the saved info and then renter the card for one time use (same card). I did this and I worked for me. You can always use a different card as well.
you would think there could be a panel that comes up that u need to click to continue. If you don’t click (afk) then u get booted from arena.
Not sure if my lore is completely accurate. So the Pale Tree produces the sylvari race, but is that truly considered reproduction? The Sylvari race aren’t seeds for a new tree nor do they seem to have the capability to create new Pale Trees. It seems they are more or less an extension of the tree. Ronan found seeds in a cave. Where do the seeds for a Pale Tree come from? In the Sylvari storyline you learn there is another tree somewhere. There hasn’t been much lore on where these seeds come from. Sylvari can’t reporduce with each other, but maybe thats because they are all from the same tree. As they are a young race and not fully explained yet the lore seems to be directed more at the Sylvari from this one tree rather than all Sylvari eveywhere. Maybe if they have sexual relations with other Sylvari from different Pale Trees you get different results.
9/10 for both names. I like that the first one has ties to nature and such.

I actually like the armor from SE. I got my full set and didnt have much of a problem finding groups. I even found great groups for doing path 2, which I believe is considered the hardest path. I just use the LFG website and usually find groups pretty quickly for any dungeon.
