So when does it become 4/2/15 in GW2 time? I know the event was in progress sometime before 22:00 EST on 3/31/15. So I shouldn’t have to wait until midnight tonight right?

Seems to me that newer players might be more put off by the prank than others. I’m on my first character at level 40 and everything still feels new, magical, and important! I don’t want part of my journey to be mired in buggy animation, annoying audio, and eye straining visuals. So I’m sitting this one out.

A simple toggle would resolve this.

I probably would have never logged into forums except I wanted to find out what was going on and why I couldn’t enjoy the game tonight. Definitely don’t enjoy complaining (I’d rather be playing).

Please allow us to disable this prank! It is funny for a moment, then it just keeps me from actually playing :/

The only impairing thing is the horrible filter. You can turn that off by turning post processing completely off at least.

What about the altered dialog (if you want to hear normal dialog), altered headgear, and messed up animations? Playing a game with messed up animations impairs my ability to enjoy it.

The prank would still be funny if you could turn it off. Why won’t they let us turn it off?

I’m not as upset as OP, but I totally sympathize. This event ruins the game for me.

Agreed. I really like the ambiance/mood/vibe of GW2. Pranks are fun, but not when they last 24 hours. On the plus side I just got Alien Isolation on Steam. So I guess I’ll play that.

This event is a total bummer.

Can someone confirm there is no way to turn off the Apr1 airplane prank? If I understand correctly there is no way to turn this off and it’s going to be on for 24 hours.
