Morowen Argon | Human Ranger | Lvl 80
Jada Argon | Human Mesmer | Lvl 56
Hey guys looking for an Isle of Janthir guild to join up with. Coming back after a 3 year break where I was playing CS:GO. I just purchased the Heart of Thorns expansion so I am ready to go for all things end game. (Super excited for the new expansion announcement tomorrow!) I have a lvl 80 ranger and a lvl 56 mesmer.
I want to get back in to doing all of the dungeons and the different paths, finally do Fractals, get some Raiding in when I feel up to snuff, and some WvW for some mass destruction!
I am 25 years old living on the east coast and I am free most evenings unless I have an event going on. My account is Tyler.4150 so add me in game so we can chat or leave a comment about your guild and why I should join.
I did notice that you can join up to 5 different guilds now so if there are guilds that specialize in certain parts of the game that’s great too!
You don’t need to be so nasty about it. It was just a suggestion.
Hey guys, there was a thread about this topic in the Ranger section but I thought that I should move it here as well. So some of us Rangers think that it would be great if we could have the option to just not have a pet at all. Some people think that the pets get in the way, others think that they die too easily, some just like to be lone wolves, and now other people are mad (myself included) that we can no longer revive pets while in combat. Because of these things we should have the option to opt out of pets altogether and in their place get some buffs for toughness and possibly DPS. I also think that it would be nice to add some stealth skills for the ranger to aid in avoiding damage because the pet is no longer there to be the tank. Rangers are hunters so they have to use stealth to hunt their prey which means that it is fitting to the class. I think that this would not upset the balance of the game in anyway and would give player that much more customization. In a game that claims to be breaking the mold in every way, shape, and form, I think that it would be met with a lot of positive feedback. So tell me what you guys think and if we have enough people like it maybe ArenaNet will notice and think about doing something like this.

I agree with this, it can’t be that hard for them to put it into the game after they have been working on it for so long.
I think that the devs could give the option for rangers to not use a pet. By giving us this option it would allow them to give us more useful skills for people who want to go solo. This could be stealth skills which I love btw. I also think that with the option to remove the pet, the ranger should get buffs to DPS and toughness because that is what the pet does a lot of. But they should only get these buffs if they choose to not have a pet. What do you guys think of that?
I agree, with being able to have the option of not using a pet. I think that if ArenaNet would just give us the option, they would get a lot of positive feedback on it. I also think that if you do choose to not use a pet, your character would have access to another trait line or just get some basic buffs to DPS and probably toughness because for most rangers the pet is the one taking most of the damage.
