[Suggestion] Chef expanded crafting materials

Chef profession creates a number of crafting materials that quickly fill the packs. Like doughs, stocks, and other crafted ingredients. I know I am not the only one who while crafting foods ends up with a bags full of chef materials and no room for the crafted foods.

The idea is to provide “Material Storage” for the professions. Like the materials for crafted materials for armor, artificiers, chef, etc. These can be created on a by need basis. Like if I choose Chef and Artificier, my storage would now have a section for chef and Artificier. This way I’m not destroying materials that I have crafted and will need at a later date. Like I might need dough for a cookie or bread at a different level that I am discovering. Or I am making foods for my guild. It would be inconsiderate of me if I fill my guild’s bank with saved materials for crafting instead of filling it with finished products.

I personally don’t use the cheats of websites to craft materials on an as needed basis as a single discovery to get levels as I go.

Or the storage just has those extra areas and crafters can hold onto materials if you like shifting your professions around occasionally. Or need materials from other characters to craft special items. Like a chef could possibly be given glue or enamels to make, and the armorsmiths or weapon crafters will need to get those from a crafter to put into storage to discover weapons or armor. Basicly giving crafters reasons to get together and work as a group or give players a reason to have other characters get professions. Granted this is above and beyond the simple idea of crafter storage, but it could expand the PvE continuations after 80 for those who tire of dungeons, raids, and dailies. Wishing for something to do and occupy their time without going to another game in the interim I know I hate shifting around from game to game to fill in the time between expansions or content additions.

Constructive ideas and comments welcome. Please refrain from negative flaming or trolling posts.

I am glad that so many are agreeing with this so far. I hope that everyone who agrees will help keep this on the first Forum page so that it can be noticed faster and possibly implemented. Since the coding for it is already in the game.

Remove levels

Remove levels as character progression and keep traits as your character progression. Let players go wherever they want in the game and explore as intended, give us a sandbox feel to the game rather than themepark.

With levels removed, we depend on the current gear tier that’s in the game and customize our abillities with traits.

Building upon a world without levels, add more events to all zones and add more bosses and improve the crafting and guild features/progression.

There was a game that had no levels. The original SWG. There were no levels per say until the NGE which limited the players to similar leveling as there is in other games. There are still web pages devoted to the old SWG gaming style if you are curious as to what it was like. Once Sony Started mucking with the professions and the game, they started ruining the fun and experience of being able to go in your own unique direction with one character.

I have been looking at the weaponry and wondering why we cannot match it to our armor? I can understand specific icons and heraldry on the weapons and shields, but the materials used to craft them should be able to be matched up to the armor itself that the player wears. This will make each character even more unique.
Imagine if you will a Warrior of the Charr carrying one of the Legion specific shields that can be picked up for karma, and the shield itself matches the player’s armor, but the legions heraldry stands out in stark relief against a Blood Legionaire’s Black Cherry Dyed metal, or a Seraph Roleplayer having a Midnight Ice coloration for shield and sword hilt with a Winter Ice blade and highlights? A Sword dyed Abyss or Daffodil for a Sylvari? The many combinations are as diverse as the armor they match.

Tailors able to make city clothes?

Will Tailors, Leatherworkers, and Armorsmiths be able to make city clothes at a later date? I have been asked this by other players. They seem to think I can make city/roleplaying clothes for other players as a Tailor. I would like a bit of helpful feedback on this subject.

OrderofWhispers Story takes over Vigil Story

I play a Norn Ranger Order of Whipsers. Husband plays a Charr Warrior The Vigil. We only found out about this problem after the glitch happened. We are not happy about this…. My husband is kitten because this kills his Warrior’s story and his interest in the character’s Personal Story progression. Need a way to regress the story back to where the problem started. In this case it is just two progressions past it. Just to make sure that it had changed. We had wanted to see where it was going to go with Tonn being blown up in my husband’s story.

OrderofWhispers Story takes over Vigil Story

I was following my Storyline. At the Battle in Fort Trinity my husband’s character who plays Vigil was given the option to continue the story at the end of the fight there. This has happened a few times where our stories have converged and we would go our own ways afterwards with our personal storylines. This time my husband’s storyline ended up following my own storyline. He’s not even able to investigate the problems with Tonn’s death. He’s being forced to find out why “he” mortar bombed “his” own troops. Which is the Order of Whispers line that I went through. He is upset that his storyline has been pretty much jumped over to being Order of Whispers when he went through everything to be Vigil.

I hope that this is just a program glitch that has caused this and that this can be resolved. If more information is needed. I can talk to whoever can fix this in game.
