Ember Solace is recruiting!
We’re seeking members who want to become part of our friendly community. Whether you would like to play solo but be part of a warm community or find people to help you with goals, we do our best to be a fit for everyone!
We’re a medium sized (60~70 members currently) guild with a focus on providing a safe space for those who need it. Members of the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, disabled people, women, those who speak English as a second language, and respectful allies are all welcome!
We have a wide variety of teams and events going on, including a world boss train, events for farming various maps as a group, a weekly variety event, weekly RP meet-ups, a weekly fractal team (with an interest in starting more), dungeon runs, and, of course, guild missions. We’re also open to members proposing their own events or running anything spontaneously!
Ember Solace has a website with forums that is used to communicate in addition to a Discord server. We ask that members visit these regularly, although it’s fine if you want to lurk.
[SOL] welcomes members from any NA server.
What we have to offer:
- Scheduled daily events for a wide variety of playstyles
- Spontaneous group-ups
- Weekly guild missions
- A small but dedicated RP community
- Discord server for voice and text communication
- Forums for games and socializing
- A friendly, relaxed atmosphere
- Guidelines to ensure that our space remains as safe as possible
What we require from you:
- A commitment to follow our Purpose and Principles
- A commitment to stick to our inactivity policy
- A commitment to understand and follow our representation policy
What is our rep policy?
Simply put, we would like to be your main guild, and the one you are repping most frequently. However, we do not require 100% rep; if there’s something we’re not providing for you, you are welcome to be in other guilds to get that!

I kind of remember in a video before HoT was released that Anet was going to allow necromancers to be healed while in shroud from regeneration and outside sources. Unless I’m wrong, they did make these changes when they did the trait revamp.
Now, however, it seems like it’s not working again. A druid can spam heals on me while I’m in reaper or death shroud and my health doesn’t move at all. Regeneration doesn’t do anything either. Besides the traits that specifically heal you while in shroud, you have to drop it before healers can do their thing.
So… Is this a bug, an intentional nerf to how it used to be, or am I imagining that they allowed necromancers to be healed in shroud for a short time?
Attempted to run it last night with some guild members. Cannons wouldn’t work.
Are they still a thing?
If I’m remembering correctly, during the Chronomancer Points of Interest they mentioned that upon unlocking the Chronomancer Specialization the Mesmer would get access to a unique shield and shoulder skin that matches the spec.
So my questions are:
Is Arena Net still doing this? Did I miss the mention of these skins for the Dragon Hunter or the Reaper? Has there been anything indicating anything about them at all?
Well… I made the move to the Tarnished Coast and still looking for a guild. I editted the OP to reflect the change. I had cast a few lines looking for Maguuma guild and wasn’t getting any nibbles, or just couldn’t find a good fit. So here’s hoping I have better luck on TC.
I also want to thank everyone for the offers made.

No plans on scrapping my toons. It’s good to know I can avoid the fee if I wanted though. I’m not completely closed off to transferring, I just want to look where I am first. If I do transfer, TC looks like a good option since I see quite a few guilds recruiting there. Hopefully that’s a sign of guild activity as a whole. Getting around the “Full” status does seem to be an issue though.
Interesting.
I was mostly PVE focused in my other game, and imagine I’ll be the same here. I enjoyed PVP when I pushed myself to do it or friends dragged me along. However going in solo or joining a PUG can really take the fun out for me. All of your guilds sound very nice and I’ll probably end up joining one of you.
That said, I still want to dip my toes into WvW since it seems so unique to this game. Moving servers is something I would like to avoid unless the Maguuma guilds just aren’t recruiting and I find a good guild to move to.
I picked up this game a few months after it’s release and didn’t get far. Played for a while but another game still had my heart. I didn’t even reach level cap. Now after two years, the current version of that other game has me rather disenchanted from it’s charms and I’m bored. This has brought me back here.
I’ve had my hands in most types of gameplay. That includes large and small scale PvE. I’ve been very PvE focused in past games. I imagine I will here too. I’ve dabbled in in PvP sporadically, and I’m interested in trying out WvW here since it’s pretty unique to GW2. I even used to Roleplay long ago and I kind of want to again.
So, in a nutshell I’m looking for a casual and active guild that does PvE with some WvW and Roleplaying on the side. On the Tarnished Coast. And they got to put up some of my noobishness. I’m not even sure what this “Repping” is that I see on other advertisements.
Edited: Made a server change. I saw an opening on TC and took it.
