Showing Posts For Undoer.6381:
Hey, you might be interested in checking us out if you’re looking for somewhere laidback, but also set on seeing content through. I’m from the Imperial Collective [CLTV], a PvX guild based on SFR.
Anyway, I’d normally write more, but I’m not sure what more to write. If you’d like to know more, just about anything you’d want to know is in this thread and you can also check out our forums / and you can also contact me in-game, Undoer.6381 with any questions.
Are you looking to join a laidback but eager and aspiring guild with a focus on anything and everything? We might suit you, The Imperial Collective, or Collective, is a Seafarer’s Rest based PvX guild with the goal of exploring any content Guild Wars 2 offers up, and enjoying it together.
The Bullet Points:
Seafarer’s Rest based, with members from all over the EU Megaserver.
Active from noon to midnight (On timezones in Northern Europe).
A private TeamSpeak 3 server.
Focused on the community, and enjoying the game together.
Present in all major content: sPvP, WvW, Dungeons, Fractals, Guild Missions, and so on.
Laidback whilst competitive.
Weekly Guild Missions.
+10% Magic Find and +5% Gold from Kills 24/7.
Our PvX Approach:
We are a PvX guild in the truest definition, we explore every type of content the game has to offer, and regardless of what type of content you prefer, you’ll be able to do it with us. We have members with varying interests in different aspects of content, some new players, some old veterans, and some returning players, each with their own individual preference, sPvP, WvW, Fractals, Dungeons, Exploration, and so on.
Ultimately we have no particular focus on different aspects of Guild Wars 2 content, but instead prioritize enjoying all available content together, as a guild, and fostering a strong sense of community and belonging, based in Guild Wars 2 around the content Guild Wars 2 has to offer.
What We Offer:
Every Saturday, at 7pm BST, 8pm CEST, we run Guild Missions. At the moment we are currently running mostly Bounties, Rushes, Challenges, and Treks, and we have a private TeamSpeak 3 server, where Guild members can congregate outside of Guild Wars 2, and play any game they desire, and any member is welcome to invite anyone they like onto TeamSpeak, to play anything, or just hangout.
We are almost fully upgraded, and have a constant 10% Magic Find and 5% Gold from kills buff running, as Guild Bank, emblems, armour, and so on.
Seafarer’s Rest and WvW:
We don’t boast a huge presence on Seafarer’s Rest, however we request that anyone who is interested in joining us for WvW be on Seafarer’s Rest. Whilst we have members from all over the megaserver, we only participate in WvW as a guild on Seafarer’s Rest.
If you’re participating in World vs World with other guilds, not from Seafarer’s Rest, that’s fine, and for more information on how we approach representation and other guilds, read about our requirements.
Our Requirements:
We expect all members to be mature enough to be able to approach delicate matters in an adult and responsible way, and we expect able members to have TeamSpeak installed, and use it for Guild Missions. We also encourage members to use TeamSpeak for most other communication. Whilst we do use Guild Chat, we prefer to use it as a secondary form of communication.
We do not demand 100% representation, 75% representation, or any percentage of representation, but we do expect members to participate with the guild. Members are expected either to actively represent and join in with content through Guild Chat, or be active on TeamSpeak and join in with content that way. Either works, and the choice is up to the individual, however we do expect people to somehow involve themselves with the guild.
Heart of Thorns Preparation
We’re mostly prepared for Heart of Thorns, but there’s always more work to be done. We’re mostly preparing in three ways: Plans for taking a Guild Hall, which are all set and done, plans for raiding, which are mostly done, and plans for PvP Leagues, which are still less set in stone.
If you’re not interested in PvP or Raiding Nights, you’re still welcome, and we won’t be abandoning other content, or older content, for Raiding and PvP Leagues. We don’t intend to be elitists and put world firsts above everything else, but we want to see the bosses go down, and that should require a certain degree of seriousness.
Raiding
We’re currently preparing ourselves for raiding, and whilst we have enough to easily run one team, we’d like to be able to run two teams simultaneously. All members are welcome to join for raiding, but we do have some requirements: We will be raiding two nights a week, over the weekend, we will require people to be on TeamSpeak for raiding, and we will expect people to bring food and utilities. Whilst raiding, you may be asked to change your build at the drop of the hat, and you will be expected to wipe repeatedly. If you’d like to do more raiding, this may be possible, but if you’d like to raid every night of the week, we’re not the guild for you.
PvP
We’re also looking to expand into more PvP involvement, especially for Heart of Thorns’ PvP Leagues. We’re currently running one night of Organized ‘Try-Hard’ PvP a week, and may end up running more come Heart of Thorns. For Organized PvP, we expect people to be on TeamSpeak, and wanting to offer and receive friendly criticism.

“We want a situation where neither full Nomad groups can succeed nor is it necessarily to stack the utmost highest damage possible. "
Your in luck! Neither nomad or highest DPS is the meta, nor will it ever be the meta! Support ( both offensive and defense, AKA might, vuln, reflects, condi removal, stealth etc etc etc ), control ( CCs, definitely more important in these raids ) and finally damage. It’s just support doesn’t come in the form of gear. And if anet ditched the enrage timer raids would no longer be challenging at all. Just go defensive enough to not have to worry about dying and just grind the boss down. And all for what? So that you can wear different armor? I’m all up for build diversity, but I am NOT up for making CHALLENGING group content facerole.
The Might and Vuln stacking part are simply an aspect of getting the highest damage possible on the boss. It’s an offensive support role, and it’s also filled 9 times out of 10 by classes who put out the most damage whilst fulfilling that role, and it’s still part of ensuring the group has the highest damage possible, and because only the highest damage offensive supports are taken it restricts the classes and builds we can take. I’m not interested in just wearing different armour, I’m interested in seeing fewer, or preferably zero, classes left out, just because they don’t bring either Vulnerability, Might Stacking, or High Damage.
I want CHALLENGING group content to be just that, but Challenging shouldn’t mean “Exclusive to only the most viable classes with the most viable build”. Why take any Condi other than an Engi, for example, when they’re so much better at it than anything else, and we’ve got this Enrage Timer breathing down our neck? Why take any other mightstack than a Phalanx Strength warrior? A D/D Ele can might stack, a Thief can using their Shortbow on someone elses fields (And there’s enough fields about), but they won’t do as much damage, so they’re not welcome. In Dungeons, we can take these things, we don’t, because the 2 minute time difference is apparently unforgivable, but it’s easy enough to fill the role of Might Stack with either of them, and go a little bit slower, but we can’t afford to go a little bit slower with an enrage timer.
An Enrage timer, in my opinion, shouldn’t be a concern for a group that has composed itself for the maximum damage output possible, including Offensive Supports, and the highest damage classes that can provide those supports. It should be a concern for groups stacking obscene amounts of Tanky Stats, like Toughness, Vitality, or Healing Power, it should be a concern for groups that do not consider Offensive Supports at all (No Vuln or Might), and for players who don’t know their rotations at all, and just press every button like a game of whack-a-mole. However, like I said in my last post: We don’t know what it will be like on release, with the inclusion of Masteries and ‘Something Else’, with those, the Enrage Timer may become trivial, and I’d be more worried about the time it takes to kill the boss being too short for a Raid Boss.
This Enrage Timer brings up the issue of balance far more than any other mechanic in that fight, plenty of classes can put out enough Condi Damage to kill the Red Guardian at the split, and enough classes can remove Boons effectively enough that a Mesmer or Chronomancer is simply better, not vital.
To me, the entire Defiance Bar part of the Vale Guardian, and the trash mobs before it, felt like it was tacked on, because without it ArenaNet wouldn’t be able to say “Controller” is a role. It’s not a role, and if the Breakbar was harder to Break, it still wouldn’t be a role. Instead, we’d lower each Guardian to the Breakbar, then move on, and go around the room, simultaneously breaking each bar, which wouldn’t be any extra difficulty. In my opinion that aspect of the fight just felt flat.
I’m fine with enrage timers, I’m happy to fight bosses with them, and I’ll enjoy them. And here’s the but, do we want another 2 Ele, 1 Thief, 1 Guardian, 1 PS Warrior situation? There will always be a meta, and that’s fine, but surely we don’t want a restrictive meta? Surely we’d rather see a situation like LF 1 Might Stack, 1 Reflect, 1 Stealth, 2 high DPS? There we can take a Herald, PS Warrior, or D/D Elementalist for the might stack, and a Mesmer or Guardian for Reflects, and a Mesmer, Engineer, or Thief for Stealth, and finally, for High Damage, we have quite a bit of choice, since a lot of classes can provide good damage, if they’re not compared to Elementalists.
I’m talking in 5 man terms, and this isn’t going to help for translating the analogy to raiding, but I feel it’s still valid. Do we want to feel pressured into only going with the highest damage composition possible to finish the raid? I don’t, and I can’t imagine many folk enjoy not being able to player Rangers, Necromancers, and Mesmers (Ignore the rapidly shifting meta, it’ll just be different classes that are irrelevant instead).
Enrage timers encourage high damage compositions, and that’s a bad thing. We want a situation where neither full Nomad groups can succeed nor is it necessarily to stack the utmost highest damage possible.
Now, we haven’t touched on the raid with the Mastery’s in play, so we might be going in only partially prepared, and ArenaNet said we’d want ‘Something Else’ instead of Slaying Potions, and I don’t think we had that either, so there’s something else we’re missing, and these might make the Enrage Timer feel less restrictive, and I feel this is all worth considering.
As I played the raid, without Mastery’s (Gliding DPS needs a huge buff, it’s terrible), and without ‘Something Else’, in a group built with the words “Who wants to raid?” with 1 Healer, 1 Tank, and later 1 Tank/Healer, and the rest Damage, we were going to be scraping the timer.
But let’s look at the Vale Guardian as not a boss in a raid, but as the first boss: Does the Vale Guardian ensure that players are good enough for raiding? If you can’t beat that timer, is the Vale Guardian saying you don’t deserve to try the rest of the fights? Alternatively, is this meant to be warming us up, into raiding?
TL:DR: There’s too many ways to look at this to say either “Ditch the Enrage Timer” or “Keep the Enrage Timer”. I also think it’s worth ArenaNet considering both camps of thought.
Name: Imperial Collective, [CLTV]
Preferred Gamemode: We’re PvX, with a leaning towards PvE and PvP. We’re currently very excited about Heart of Thorns’ PvP Leagues and Raids!
Server/Region: We’re based on Seafarer’s Rest, EU. We welcome members from all over the EU megaserver, but for WvW purposes we’re based on Seafarer’s Rest. We are an English Speaking International Guild!
Active Times: We’re typically active from noon till midnight. We run our Guild Missions on Saturdays, at 8pm CEST. Most other events are impromptu.
Contact: You can contact us through me, Undoer.6381, or Osserc.6530, Gugly.4208, or Londi.3281
We’re a guild focused on a strong social backbone, and enjoying content together. We don’t have arduous playtime requirements, or a 100% Representation policy, or demands of experience or tests of skill, we’re focused on enjoying the game together, not setting records, claiming world 1sts, or dominating the competition. Our priority is finding great people to enjoy the game we all love with. Our only requirements involve participation with the guild, and using TeamSpeak for Guild Missions.
If you’d like to know more about us, check out our thread here, or our forums, or contact one of us ingame.
Hey, I’m from the Imperial Collective [CLTV]. We’re a laidback PvX Guild based on SFR, but welcoming people from all over the EU megaserver.
I’m gonna start off by saying that we are bigger than you’re looking for, and we’re currently over 110 members, however we are focused on a sense of a community and a strong social backing to the guild, and the actual player count is relatively insignificant to us, and we are more focused on whether or not content is available to us or not because of our member count, and how involved people are with the community.
Anyway, if you are still interested despite that, I think we might suit you: We’re focused on having fun together, not breaking records, claiming titles, and being the best, we’re focused on enjoying the game together, and participating in the game together.
We are PvX guild, and we have plenty of active players who do participate in different aspects of the game. We are also strictly opposed to drama, since we have a heavy emphasis on community, we don’t want our community to be torn apart by arguments.
Anyway, if you’re interested, check out our thread here, or our forums, or contact one of us ingame: Undoer.6381, Osserc.6530, Gugly.4208 or Londi.3281.
Heyhey, I’m from the Imperial Collective [CLTV], we’re a laidback PvX Guild based on SFR but with members from all over the EU Megaserver.
At the moment we run most things impromptu, but we’re currently looking to pre-organize more things, especially Raids and PvP. We do organize Guild Missions before hand, and we run them on Saturdays, at 8pm CEST.
As to our size, that’s pretty subjective, we’re definitely well established, laidback and friendly guild, and we’re big enough to get things done, but like I say: Size is subjective, and I’d personally call us a medium sized guild.
Anyway, if you’re interested, check out our thread here, or our forums, or contact one of us ingame: Undoer.6381, Osserc.6530, Gugly.4208 or Londi.3281.
We’re currently organizing ourselves for the Heart of Thorns’ upcoming Raid and PvP League content, so if you’re interested in joining a sociable PvX Guild with a definite intent to be involved in either or both of those things, you might want to check us out!
As always, you can check out our forums, or contact one of us ingame with any questions about the guild: Undoer.6381, Osserc.6530, Gugly.4208, or Londi.3281
Hey, I’m not sure if you’re looking for a more laidback or a more hardcore guild, but if you’re looking for the former opposed to the latter, we might suit you.
I’m from the Imperial Collective [CLTV], we’re a SFR based PvX Guild with members from all over the EU Megaserver, and we’re already trying to organize ourselves for raids on the forums. Our goal won’t be clearing content in record times, but instead clearing the content and enjoying ourselves bringing down the bosses.
Anyway, if you’re interested you can find out more about our guild, what we do, and how we do it in our thread here, or our forums, or contact me ingame with any questions.
Hey, I’m from the Imperial Collective. We’re a laidback PvX guild based on SFR, but with members from all over the megaserver.
We’re heavy on PvE and PvP, and active throughout the week, and conversational both in guild chat and on teamspeak, from noon onwards. I’m not sure if we’re a big guild by your definition, that varies from person to person, but I consider us to be a medium sized guild, large enough to always find something to do and someone to do it with, but small enough to have a great sense of community.
If you’re interested you can read more about us in our thread here, or on our forums, or contact me ingame.
As for Gunnar’s Hold, we’re based on SFR, and we only participate in WvW on SFR as a guild, but we welcome anyone from any EU server for PvE and sPvP.

Hey! I’m from the Imperial Collective, we’re a laidback PvX Guild with a leaning towards PvE. We regularly run dungeons and fractals, and we run Guild Missions once per week.
If you’re interested, you can read more about us in this thread, on our website, or you can contact me ingame with any questions.
Hey! I’m from the Imperial Collective, we’re a PvX focused medium sized guild based on Seafarer’s Rest, with a slight leaning towards PvE over other areas of content. We’re primarily a guild focused on a sense of community, not hardcore PvP, or setting speedrunning records, or dominating WvW. Whilst we’re based on SFR, if you’re not interested in WvW’ing with us, we welcome anyone from all over the megaserver.
The only way in which we might not suit you is that we are not on average 30+, but definitely on average 20+, and we have members over a very large spectrum.
If you’re interested I recommend reading through our post here or checking out our forums, you can also contact me ingame with any questions, Undoer.6381, or you can contact Osserc.6530 or Gugly.4208.
Hey! I’m from the Imperial Collective, we’re a PvX guild based on Seafarer’s Rest.
We have a relatively even split in all content, and we welcome players from all over the EU Megaserver, but we only WvW on SFR.

If you like, you can read more about us in our post here or on our forums., you can also contact me in game, Undoer.6381.

Hey, I’m from the Imperial Collective, we’re a PvX guild on Seafarer’s Rest. I’d say we do fit most of your requirements, but we’re pretty big on Teamspeak. We’re a PvX guild with a laidback approach, and a focus on a sense of community. Our playtime is very similar to yours, and we run Guild Missions at 20:00 CEST on Saturdays. Our current size is around 70 members.
You can find out more about us in this thread or on our forums.
You can also contact me ingame if you like.
Nice guild fun ppl , gm is a kitten tho
I can’t even deny this.
Hey, I’m from the Imperial Collective [CLTV], we’re a PvX guild with an equal focus on PvE, PvP, and WvW. We don’t rp within GW2, and we’re definitely not an RP guild, but if you’re interested we do play games like Pathfinder and Call of Cthulhu on Teamspeak.
We’re also not on Piken Square, but instead Seafarer’s Rest. If you don’t have any interest in WvW that’s not a problem though, since all other content (PvP, PvE, and Open World content) is on one big server for all of Europe.
If you’re interested you can find out more about us in our thread or on our forums. You can also contact me in game.
Hey! It’d be great to know what region, and also what server, you’re on.
I’m from the Imperial Collective, we’re an SFR based EU PvX Guild. We do Guild Missions every saturday, and partake in all content, PvE, PvP, and WvW alike. We’re a friendly, laidback, and sociable bunch focused on a sense of community and enjoying the game together.
We’ve got a thread here with loads of information, and our own forums with some more information.
If you’re interested you can contact me in game.
Hey, if you’re in the EU region, I can offer you a place with us in the Imperial Collective. We’re a PvX guild, and run dungeons very frequently, and guild missions every Saturday. We definitely have the patience within the guild to show you around any dungeons, and if you’re interested in other content, we partake in all aspects of the game, not just PvE. It’s worth noting we only are involved in WvW as a guild on SFR, and whilst we have members from all over the megaserver, we recommend coming to SFR if you want to WvW with us.
If you’d like to know more, we’ve got a forum thread here and our own forums with more information here and you can always contact me in game if you like.
Hey, I’m from the Imperial Collective, and I think we might suit you.
Our members are varied, some are new players, others are veterans, and some are returning players like yourself. We’re relatively laidback, and casual, in our approach to content, we like to get it done, we like to complete it, and we like to win, but most importantly we want to have fun playing with each other, and we work on the premise that this is a game to be played with people. Finally, we’re pretty much definably PvX and spend equal time in all major content (PvE, PvP, and WvW).
We’re based on Seafarer’s Rest, but this isn’t a problem if you’re not interested in WvW, but we do only participate in WvW on SFR.
If you’d like to know more, we’ve got a thread here with loads of information, forums here, and you can of course contact me ingame, Undoer.6381.

We’re not based on Vabbi, we’re based on SFR, and whilst we’re primarily made up of people from all over the EU Megaserver, we only WvW on SFR. This isn’t a problem if you have no interest in WvW, of course, but I feel I should tell you.
We’ve got forums here and a thread here if you’d like more information! You can also contact me ingame if you like.
Hey! You might want to mention your server, and you definitely ought to mention your region and playtimes! NA players cannot play with EU players, so if you’re on NA no point in an EU player offering you a guild, or vice versa

We request members have TeamSpeak installed, and use it for Guild Missions. This is not an ironclad demand, but definitely a preference, whilst we use guild chat just as much as Teamspeak, Teamspeak does help coordinate larger events.
We do not demand 100% representation, 75% representation, or any percentage of representation, we just expect members to participate with the guild. How they choose to do so is up to them, many of our members represent most of the time and chat in guild chat, others join us on Teamspeak frequently and represent infrequently. It’s up to you, our only requirement is that you participate with the guild.
