4) The interface
I personally think, that there is plenty of things that could be improved.

a) Salvage kit should go do separate place from the bags, I think perhaps some sort of salvage kit mini bag next to inventory, a button in the top of the inventory would be very nice.

b) Inventory option should also have something like sort order ( alphabetic, by item type [axe-axe-axe-sword-shield-flower a-flower b-wood a-wood b], by item quality etc ). It could also have something like Get rid of Junk items button. There could be also option on auto loot, to disallow it looting junk items, or perhaps the items of my own selection.

c) Armor sets – Maybe I have missed it, but there could be some button(s) or hot-keys for some sort of Armor sets. Please, if there is, someone inform me.

d) Skill sets – There could be few buttons next to the last Action Skill slot, right between the mini-map and the action bar. It could be something like a skill set. I would suggest 6 small buttons. When you right click on them, it would remember your current skills, when you left click, it would put them on your action bar. That could be also hot-keyed.

5) World Chat
Oh god… Maybe I have missed it again, but ….. You guys, should, really, please, I beg you, make something like server wide chat… So arranging dungeons or calling people out for hard event would be less struggle then going to 5 different locations and spending hard earned money in order to get the desired players.

6) BOT SWARM !!!!
Maybe I am completely wrong on this, but it seems, that you guys actually do not mind the Bots. I know, it is money for you people, you can then enjoy your life, but please, have some decency. What I mean ? I did add +- 25 bots to my friend list. I did report every single one of them for botting… Yet, even after +-10 days, I can still find most of them online. They are just so annoying pests. You really do not want to support some kittens somewhere on the end of the chain… You do not want to give them Mercedes, do you ? Please, delete them. I also think, the patters they make, are so obvious. I mean, you can see them running same place, from same spot to another spot, over and over again, all night long, very often in pairs or more, developing some automatic system to scan for this and bam bam ban them instantly should not be that hard feature to develop.

Also, I did not talk too much about PvP, as I have not been thru most of it yet. I might got few things wrong, if you give me a proove of that, I will then reconsider what I have wrote.

For all those “Perfect english speaking people”, you know, English is not my first language, I can make a mistake here and there, and afteall, it is not even near the first language in the world. I do not speak Mandarin, but I could write all this absolutelly perfectly in either Czech, Slovak or Spanish.

Some of the trolls might actually write few things against me, just before you go to it, here are facts. I am 30 years old in 5 days, I competed in some Game Tournaments here and there, ussually ended up pretty high, I am self confident and bit arrogant person, I am also Bi ( if you want to bring up Gay stuff ), I always prefer absolute honesty in anything I say and I also somewhat demand this from other people, I very much dislike stupidity, lack of Team play behaviour and I am originally from Czech republic, however I got some business and houses across europe. I am not flexing here, just trying to escape from those irritating trolling “kid” jokes/insults.

Remember, in the start, I said that this post wont be best thing ever written and it is also expressed in my own way.

And that is all from me as for the time being. If you guys have something to ad your selfs, feel free to do so. Also, I hope that ANET will actually read this at some point and that they will do at least some of the things I have suggested here. The players can also learn something here, but that is not in my powers. You guys must WANT to improve, Without desire to improve nothing but sword in your face would do convince you.

Hello to all the merciless Charrs, fearless Norns, dreaming Sylvaris, clever Asuras, unshaken Humans, hello to all Heroes out there.

Firstly, I would like to warn you, that this post might not be the best thing ever written and it might have some points in it, which you will find hard to agree with, whether you are casual or hardcore player, but also Arena Net developer.

This post is basically meant for everyone out there, please, feel free to share it around the lands of Tyria and anywhere beyond.

Subject Alpha: What is wrong from players side ?

I personally think, that the GW 2 community is way better then in most of the other MMOs out there, however, there are still tons of things that needs to be improved, if we want to keep the game nice, cool and enjoyable. We all should start by looking at our mistakes and our behaviour.

1) You guys should not be greedy.
Most of you did pay ca. 50 euros for this game, yet some of you are asking for miracles ( bug free game of this size ? )

- yes, the bugs can be annoying, but I am nearly sure that Anet did not make those bugs on purpose and they are working on it, but you need to keep in mind that those things take time, real life time and lot of hard work. This game is HUGE, the world is beautiful, there is tons of variations to the story, tons of different locations and tons of different spells/abilities in this game. The Anet team has to fix some of these things and perhaps balance it a bit better in few cases, however, they have done amazing and extraordinary job, so please, give them bit of respect and have some patience.

2) Learn your class(profession), read the tool-tips
- Some of you, do not even know all your class skills, yet you consider your self a supreme heroes. It is fine when you do solo play, do whatever you want to do there, I could not care less, but please, when you join a dungeon party or some difficult / challenging event which needs more then just you alone to complete it, it would be more then welcome if you can actually turn your mind to Team Play mode, thus using abilities and spells that can help one way or another to those around you. There are limited number of buttons you can use, so choosing right spells before the combat would be nice. You can think of Crowd Control abilities, curing abilities, healing and so forth. It is not about damage only and none of the MMOs ever was, it is about staying alive and killing the monster, damage alone will NOT do it in most cases.

3) This game is not that much gear dependant as many other MMOs
It is bit more about skill, however, that does not mean that you should be joining Dungeons or so forth, half naked or with gear that is 20 levels lower then what you are trying to do, not to mention the fact that some of you do not even bother about (enchanting?) your own gears. Please, put some of these shiny things to your unused upgrade slots, so your mighty armor shall become even mightier.

4) I have noticed that so many people are trying to skip so many mobs in dungeons.
WHY ? I mean, seriously, I have been playing MMOs for about 6 years, and I have learned the very hard way, that skipping is actually not helpful in 95% of the cases, it either leads to wipes, or difficulties getting somewhere, not to mention the lost joy and downgraded dungeon experience. Some of you might have seen in other games, that skipping trash mobs did lead to some truly dull and dumb dungeon design, we surely do not want that in GW2 now, do we ?

5) The combat in this game is not pure hack and slash action as some of you think.
If you like the things running smoothly, as I do, you actually need to focus on your game play, time your dodges and use your skills wisely. I know that when you play this game too much, especially if you play one toon only, it might get boring to do the repetitive things over and over. Solution to this is simple, either choose different profession, or do something else ( explore, dungeons, PVP, craft something, skill up something ), talk with friends, do something silly, make a party, or do something IRL, go for a walk, beer, fishing, cinema, casino, party, whatever. Simply take a brake for a bit.

6) Do not be so selfish.
I know that there is huge amount of the things to do in this game, but sometimes you can see people that are asking for help in the chat for hours, they are simply stuck at a place, they want to do something, yet they cant do it alone. Instead of scratching your bums, go there and help them, or at least give them a reasonable advice, hint of some sort. After-all, most of you have been in same situation like them. It is simple matter of principle.

There are people whining about being one shotted, there are people whining about getting stacks of dots on them, there are people whining about being killed…

few things to say, every prof. in this game has way to counter any problems of above ( way more easy in 5 man group )

Every single one of you can time your dodges or other cooldowns
Every single one of you can start to kite or line of sight if needed
Every single one of you can change your skills / weapons for specific bossess / trashpacks
Every single one of you can avoid dying on any pack, if you are smart and good enuff.

The fact, that some of you fail at avoiding the deaths, is not fail / poor design of the game, it is your fail.

And whining about it somewhere, will not make you better, it will most likely make the game worse..

Are you sure that you want to turn GW2 to WoW like game, where you run through 100 of mobs and smash randomly 4 keys ?

Are you sure you want to turn it to no brainer Diablo 3, where you continuously spam left mouse click and you still win the game ?

What is wrong with learning the mobs, learning how to deal with them and learning how to combine your skill bar and when to use things right ?

I am new to this game, I got warrior and elementalist.

I ran 4 different dungeons, all together about 30 times.

And I never had issues which you guys have.

Does that make me some kind of superhuman ? Hell it does not, it just makes me someone, who does not suffer from tunnel vision and can think and focus !

Most of the people I grouped with, kept dying randomly on random things, I never seen em getting out of the way when needed, I never seen em kiting a mob or stuning it at right time, or removing conditions from them selfs and so forth..

And those are the people that then flames the design, not their own failure.

Honestly, the noobs and effortless players are getting trully boring and annoying. I dont want all MMO games to be complete hack and slash no brainer, kitten it…
