I doubt they have.. I may be a little biased. But I feel like distort is not too OP for a number of reasons.

Duration is only one second. If you’re going to be distorting something (lets say greens on Vale Guard) then you need good timing with when your distort is actually being applied since either to soon or to late can cause problems.

The internal cooldown is 5 seconds. This prevents “spamming” to keep your party immune for a longer period of time.

It’s trait dependent. Considering how Dragon hunter can just press F3 and block all damage for the party for so long is actually considered OP (My opinion tho). So if you’re not running Blurred Inscriptions (distort on sig use) you will not be able to provide that protection when you cast signets… Or if you’re not running Inspiration then there will be no distortion share at all.

Do I think some things need to be tweaked on it??… maybe, although I have not really put to much thought into distortion in a long time.

Just my views on it.

If you fill out the application and you main any other class but Chrono, your application will be instantly rejected since every other class is closed for recruitment.

160-176+ MPs don’t imply that those people are raiders.

You can’t get more than like 168 without raiding. I was playing with people over that limit.

All they needed to do was either buy or get carried through VG and unlock the entire raid mastery to level. And they would never have to step foot in a raid again to get max mastery level. so in other words MP does not equal skill or knowledge

Hey all! We are Death and Taxes [DnT]. We are a hardcore Raiding, Fractal and Dungeon guild on NA. We excel at all areas of instanced PvE but our primary focus is on raiding. Despite our heavy raid focus, we still have nightly fractal and dungeon tours and expect our members to participate in those as well. With the return of Dungeons and Fractals of the Mist. We are looking for those people who are skilled and work well with teammates, we take pride in running the most efficient groups to clear the content. Requirements:
As a high level PvE guild we do hold members to standards, so there will be some requirements that we ask of from our applicant’s

• You must have at least two classes geared fully for raids in ascended, and be able to play them at a very high level. The more classes you are capable of playing without a drop off in your skills the bigger an asset you are to the team.

• While we have a raiding focus, we don’t want people who are going to hold us back in Fractals and Dungeon runs either. Part of our trial process involves Fractals so be prepared.

• Our raid times are NA prime time EST. We have three scheduled raids per week and we would need you to be able to attend two per week at minimum.

• We use VOIP. If you don’t have a mic, or don’t want to use a mic we cannot accommodate you. Successful raiding is making clear and decisive calls and it is mandatory for us.

• We are a 99% rep guild. Feel free to rep a side guild when you PvP or for personal banking purposes but [DnT] is your main guild and you need to rep.

Membership Perks:

-Despite our hardcore reputation, we have an easy-going and friendly guild culture. We take our runs seriously and expect people to play well, but we don’t tolerate fighting or trolling

-We have excellent theorycraft resources and we will have up to date meta build and team comps

There are a few people in the guild who do PvP a ton, but as far as getting an actual team, we have not really considered that since our main focus is Raids/FoTM/Dungeons

Rabid Scrapper Tank – Since condi builds don’t rely on power, it’s not a huge dps hit to have a condi scrapper use rabid gear over viper/sinister. The scrapper can also easily land slick shoes for breakbars as a tank when needed. Another advantage is that the scrapper line gives some strong damage mitigation and rez utility. I myself have been playing around with Chrono Tank here lately and have been having a blast from it, Everyone who has coined in on it has made really good points as to what they bring to the table. Currently I’m working on a build of my own without Commanders gear and so far the results are pretty good so I should have a guide for it here soon. But there are other guides that are also very viable in terms of running it as tank

We did not on Vale guardian, Now for Gorseval it won’t matter because it seems like he does a secondary toughness check which causes him to be buggy and walk around so much. Even with my Scrapper in full Rabid running Adaptive Armor we would still have this problem of swapping targets. Until Anet decides if this is a bug or “working as intended” it does not matter how much toughness your tank has over the rest of the group.

While the Celestial Tank is still viable for pugging raids or you do not have a competent healer, I have a more updated version but it would require more optimized group to run it due to its lower toughness and much higher DPS output.

Please, no toughness gear you will get aggro, unless you want to get almost 100% aggro uptime and you have 100% sure you will dodge/survive almost everything, or you will just keep dieing and make your teammates life harder.

There is no proof toughness has anything to do with aggro.

Toughness has everything to do with aggro in Raids.. This was very evident during the beta weekend that raids were previewed

Thanks for the input Miku, I was doubtful of the flame legion runes anyway I also realized that I did not run scepter trait either which would be a better damage boost over Zealous Blade so I might be better off running S/F and S/T and pray to RNGsus for good locust spawns

My gear is set up is full Berserker’s with Scholar runes, and I went with Virtues for the Consecration cooldown for Wall of Reflect

I’m going to try running Flame Legion runes with Unscathed Contender for a faster kill soon

Depends on the seller, you are taking a gamble in buying paths from sellers, some will not care about their reputation as a seller and keep your gold regardless while there are a lot of other sellers including myself that will give back the gold after you left the party as well as give back the difference if price is lowered.. Just be aware that it is a big inconvenience to the person you are buying from after they spent time on the dungeon to have someone come in pay and decide to leave and want their gold back so they have to post LFG to refill that spot

About the guild:
•The guild does not currently adhere to a fixed schedule for dungeon runs. We have players that often run during various timezones. We are currently late night PST/early oceanic friendly.
•We are a friendly/social guild with a relaxed atmosphere that doesn’t primarily just focus on runs. We love to just hang out and chat even when we’re not on a dungeon crawl.
•We currently run all dungeon paths and often dive into soloing/duoing dungeon paths.
•We have players that give away “free” runs in guild chat that you can snag while repping.
•We have guild missions, dedicated TS server, website and more!
What we expect from you:
•Repping the guild while running with us (We aren’t 100% rep but please be considerate enough to rep while running with us)
•Use of the current zerker/assassin meta for the appropriate class and/or build. We will be glad to help you sort this out if you need help or have any questions, but we ultimately expect you to come fully geared and ready to go. (i.e. Berserker’s gear and scholar’s runes plus dungeon potions)
•Basic knowledge of the current set of dungeons and fractals. At least be comfortable doing a pug speed run. We don’t expect you to know all of our tactics at first but pick them up while running with us.
•Team Speak – Having a mic is highly preferred. Very few exceptions are made. You don’t have to talk much but we are all pretty social while playing together.
•Be friendly!
Joining:
•We have a three step process. We ask for an application, then we proceed to set up a meet-and-greet informal interview run. Then you get an invitation to join as an initiate rank.
•In order to become a full member of the guild, you will be required to pass a trial. The trial simply involves you leading us through a mini dungeon tour. (3-5 random paths to include Arah in at least one)
•A veteran rank is available to members that wish to pass a more challenging trial.

We are Binary Alliance [BA]… a semi-casual (fully awesome) PvX guild. Most of our members are sarcastic punks/crazies/muggles in their 20’s and 30’s and 40’s who like to joke around and have a good time while gaming.

We’ve recently ramped up our WvW efforts a bit and have re-opened recruitment to support more consistent raiding for Crystal Desert. Our current objective would be around 3-4 nights a week during NA prime time. Don’t worry, we still do TONS of dungeons, fractals, events, high-five sessions, and hair braiding.

What makes us special? In all seriousness, our biggest concerns are compatibility and community. When recruiting, we like to find people who are a good fit for our guild – that means fun, friendly, casual and willingness to be team players. Legendary weapons, map completion, and achievement points are not how we judge applicants – serious, leet-core gamers do not get preferential treatment.

We recruit in small batches, chat with new applicants and get to know people before giving them full membership.

We care about who we recruit and therefore don’t accept all applicants. This doesn’t mean that people we reject are bad players, but it simply means that they aren’t the right fit. Please don’t mistake this for elitism – our occasional little “struggle squad” has been known to fall flat on our collective face from time to time, but we pride ourselves in having a really fun time while doing it.

Defending is very viable, But like recently posted, you need a scout and a commander that responds to his/her scouts
When I’m commanding I try to keep at least 1 scout in each tower that will give me accurate information so I know weather to move the Militia there to defend, after all your scout with the proper seige is your DEFENDER for that keep/tower if he looks after you, you need to look after him that means get to him quickly and do not let what he/her is holding down get lost after he/she works to provide that intel, It’s all about tactics, and mind games, what you feel is going to get hit.. Properly placeing seige in a tower or keep with a competent scout/defender can actually buy you time to finish capping another keep/tower before responding for the save.. But don’t just leave a defender in there, swap them out so they don’t get bored or burned out and always treat them with something special, after all they rely on you as much as you rely on them.

There has been plenty of times I have had my militia inside garrison fighting to cap it from one server, while another server is hitting another of our keeps, and 85% of the time we are able to get the cap and turn around to go save, and I have my defenders to thank for that.

Really loving the new recruits, and having a ton of fun commanding in WvW, it has really kicked up a notch and made the community more great!
