Soloing content (intentionally not designed for soloing) requires understanding of the class, also what is possible and what not. Any class can be used to solo content as long as the player knows what she/he’s doing.

I read that necro and ranger are the better PVE classes due to their pets and Necro’s self heals, like an AFF Lock in Wow. I know all classes can have solo capabilities but those 2 classes shine when it comes to more elite content.

To be fair, “elite content” and “solo content” are completely different things. As far as solo content goes, any class can completely face roll solo content with only 1 ability.

For “elite content”, you will require other players. Necro is generally kicked in public groups, and really only chosen for PVP. So if you want to play Necro or Ranger in group content, best to play with a guild or friends to avoid getting kicked from the group.

Really, I didnt’ know that about Necros. What about Guardians?

I forgot to mention that with the new Necro specialization coming out, they “may” be more wanted in group content, or tolerated. Nobody will know for sure until the expansion releases. Guardians are definitely okay where they are at.

What is the problem with Necro in Group Content? What’s that new specialization you mention? I barely have any idea of what’s what in GW2 and have been reading up on all the updates since the first month of its inception.

I forgot to add one more question. Is there such a thing as a shared inventory across characters incase I want to transfer things and how does it work?

I know there may be countless topics on this but they seem outdated. I am a returning player as of 8/30/17. I haven’t played since the first month when the game came out so there have been a lot of changes. I will get to the point and ask simple and maybe common questions so lets do this.

- Best Solo Class for content and survival (PVE): I hear Necro is the way to go then Ranger
- Profession/class combos
- Is it even worth starting now at this point since now you get that max level boost. Makes it seem it’s not even worth playing regular content since you skip everything with the boost.
- Finally, any tips for a newbie. Again, I have read other tips but they seem outdated.
