Hi guys,

I’m looking for the best eu server to roam, duel and gvg. The server should also be wvw focused and in a balanced match up.
My prime time is 6pm – 10pm GMT +1 and i can speak english as well as german, but i’d prefer an english speaking community.
So if you have a suggestion feel free to post it, as well as a short explanation why you suggest the server.

The downed states are extremely unbalanced

It doesn’t say “Icebrood” Colossus, and the other two special minis looked really “special” so assumed that this mini was the Colossus from fotm (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/921246653147046778/4B85B8E32D9C93F954E3506151D013C8D96EF1C7/)

And I just created this thread to warn other players so that they can see what this “Colossus” really looks like before they decide to combine their minis.

It’s sooo ugly compared to the Minotaur and the Destroyer! Here is what the Colossus looks like:

Is the T2 dueling guild still alive? If not this is going to be a lame weak :c

I doubt that they have to “rewrite the entire spvp codebase”, they have to add something that’s for sure. But i think it’s easier than to create a new wvw like Defektive suggested and easier than to add a duel option to pve.
And don’t forget that they’ll get quite some money out of this

I like sPvP simply BECAUSE it is separated from the rest of the game. The mere idea that theres a potential for additional stats to be used and food etc. (to me) is repulsive.

It’s like playing a dungeon crawler, getting the best gear, and having a distinct advantage over players who didn’t farm as hard as you. Thats not PvP, to the geared player that’s like PvE with improved AI.

Leave the mists alone!

I’m not talking about changing spvp as a whole, i would just like to have a few arenas where you can use your pve equipment, that’s it

I’d like to bring up a suggestion and I’d be happy to get your feedback.
Personally I’m not a big fan of spvp and most of the time I just use that mode to duel people from my own server.
One of my main problems with spvp and tpvp is that it feels like it’s separated from the rest of the game (PvE and WvW) mostly because of the spvp equipment that you have to use. And because of that a lot of great builds simply don’t work in spvp that well.
Now that we have custom arenas in spvp why not add option to create maps where the players can use their pve equipment? Maybe even add an option that allows players to use buff food.
So that we would have 3 kinds of custom spvp maps:
1. Normal spvp maps where the players use their spvp stuff
2. Spvp maps where the players use their pve equipment
3. Spvp maps where the players use their pve equipment and buff food

Not only ArenaNet would profit from this change (the players would buy more Custom Arena Time Tokens -> More $$$) but also the spvp playerbase because this change could pull down the wall that is separating spvp from the rest of the game which would lead to an increase in the popularity of spvp.

So what do you think? Any cons?

I never said that Anet is going to nerf Static Discharge, i just said that its the only strong thing left. But if they are going to nerf it without giving us some major dmg / versatility buffs, its clear that they dont want the engineer to be competitive.

As far as i can see your “main weapon” is the grenade kit, right? In that case you should go 30 into explosives so you can get the Grenadier trait, plus i dont think that the Scope trait is really useful.

All in all this is no build for me, but i hope you’ll enjoy it

Is it supposed to be a pve or pvp build?

The next “huge update” is going to be the feb patch, but personally i doubt that they are going to nerf the TankCat build. Apart from static discharge i dont think that there is anything left worth nerfing.

I just bought myself a full condi dmg/toughness/precision set, because running around with a sd build for 3 months got me bored. And even though its not competitive (just my opinion) it still makes fun, so just do what makes you happy
And besides that, who needs money anyway?
