And guess what, I don’t need to dodge. My build makes it so that I can constantly be in the boss’ face and wail on them with my hammer. Sure, call me unskilled. But i am playing a ROLE PLAYING GAME, and my character is assuming the ROLE of tank. That is why my gear is VIABLE. Zerker snobs are so annoying, and that’s why it got nerfed.
Personally, on my tank Guardian, I run meditations while traiting into meditations and symbols. All this with a Cleric set.
I use a Hammer/Greatsword primarily, but switch my range in over the GS when necessary. Mace/Shield is also an option to replace hammer if you dont like it. With that being said, Hammer Mace/Shield is super tanky.
I run 2/0/6/6/0.
the 6’s are necessary for the med and symbol traits. not to mention that new trait that’ll give u an extra 6k health or something crazy.
^ Ranged weapon when I need one. as in those 2 examples you just gave. Then I have to use a scepter.

Use meditations.
Use hammer/greatsword (ranged weapon when you need one ala Arah/Fractals)
Profit.
URKULES NEVER DIES. Why? Because I have virtues to heal me/give me aegis, I have a heal on 6, 789 all heal me, my 0 makes me invulnerable, and my basic attack on hammer gives me constant protection and heals me from the symbol.
I have an idea!
Use a different weapon for WvW. Hammer kicks kitten in PvE.
I go 5/0/30/30/5 with full cleric set and meditations. trait for symbols and meditations.
As for weapons I rotate Hammer, Greatsword, and Staff, only using scepter when its absolutely neccessary (Arah/Fractals).
With this build, your symbols heal, your meditations heal, you heal, your virtue heals, and you have a ton of toughness. URKULES NEVER DIES
thats super lame. one is Lions Arch does it for me too..
Just because its the highest DPS doesnt make it the best gear. If it was the best gear we wouldnt have other options and all gear would be zerker.
My cleric guardian doesnt do much dps at all but I keep my party alive. There is more to the game than DPS, to say otherwise is ignorant.
I can click on him and hit F all I want but he will not respond. I dont know how to fix this glitch, but its pretty annoying to waste time and money waypointing.
