I agree with the posts above calling for the ability to see your position in the Queue and an ETA, that really is just common sense, being able to see the map would also be a massive help.
+1 for this, something to keep people interested long term.
Gunnars Hold has a near permanent queue on Eternal that can be 3 hours or more in the evenings, but the borderlands are pretty quiet, 2/3 had either no queue or a 5minute queue last night.
We’re far from the smallest server I believe so there should be servers around without Queues on the Borderlands.
Just wait until you’re in a new pairing with a different starting location, it’s very simple.
Something to keep people interested long term, WvW as it is now is good, sure there is always room for improvement but the base is very solid. But I feel like some kind of ranking/progression system to go alongside would really benefit the game, as it is now rewards from WvW are either very small or none depending on your view point.
Realm Points in DAOC were a major part of the game and the sort of system that will prevent people from getting bored of the feature too quickly, because I fear in it’s current state as a ‘just for fun’ mechanic, this will start to happen sooner rather than later.
World vs World (accessed via. B as default) gives very good experience. Crafting also gives some very good experience. Both should be done at least occasionally as you level towards 80 to make sure you’re not getting behind in the zones, this is as far as I can tell intended.
There are a number of different zones at all level ranges and you can access all of them and explore all of them, getting around the world gets easier the higher you get in level, but the portals in Lions Arch can be accessed at any time as mentioned above.
