Thanks for the responses thus far. And yes, it did change me. I’m past the helping all the orders, I had made my final decision to join the Whispers. (I don’t know why I keep calling them Shadows. =p ). I was on my way to the first mission and he was supposed to do his, but when I went into his next story it swapped me to Vigil. That’s why I’m baffled cause apparently it is possible to switch and prior to choosing I read everywhere and choose carefully cause it was supposed to be PERMANENT. I guess it’s not really important, I just wanted to know how that happened and if I could change it back since it got changed once.

I’m kinda confused. I thought once you picked an order it was permanent. I choose Shadows and my fiance choose Vigil. I did a mission with him and it said I could progress so I thought it was ok, but turns out now I’m Vigil as well now and not in the Shadows. Is there a way to change it back? Does this mean if we found someone of a different order and did their story with them we could change to their order? Up until the other day we had to go back and forth to each others story so we could complete our stories and now we can get credit if we’re in the same one…I just don’t understand. (Shadows=Whispers. lol)
