Guild Wars 2

so im sort of new to guild wars 2, i did play the original guild wars but that game was different then this one.

So im looking for tips to help me out, like im not sure what my first class should be and how i should level cause i notice once you finish your first story mission the next one is a level higher then your current level. Im wondering if thats ok to continue doing it or just level up so it wont be as hard to complete

lol, ive had guild wars 2 for a while now, and honestly im stuck and confused cause i just dont know where to start, i mean ive made so meny different chars and i just dont know what one would suit me more my playstyle, and im not also great when it comes to what stats to go for on gear.

My playstyle is i like to keep my distance from the enemy as i going melee i have a hard time with it

I love the game but i just need alittle help to get me playing the way i should be

Im stuck cause i cant decide what class to stick with for leveling and such. So my question is, which class is good for leveling solo and group play, plus which area is also good for leveling cause i will be doing crafting as well.
