Guild Wars 2

I’ve been getting horrendous lag for the past month.

Weird thing is, I’m only lagging when there’s a huge number of people around, i.e. claw of jormag event, to the point I rubberband all over and eventually get DCed.

I’m completely lag-free when I PvE solo or with a small group.

related to this? I have no idea, but please fix it.

I’m pretty sure my ISP didn’t change anything and I was fine when I started 2 months ago.

Hi, I’ve been playing GW2 for a while now and every time I get into large groups of people my game (connection?) gets very, very laggy up to about 30 seconds of lag and a random disconnect every few minutes.

This doesn’t happen when there’s only a few people in the vicinity of my character, only when going in large groups of people i.e. Claw of Jormag event, and no, this is not video lag, I’m running at >60 FPS. I even tried using the lowest settings.

are there any known fixes to this?

Edit: before someone asks, I have the latest drivers for all my devices, including the network adapter.

okay, so I’ve been playing my human guardian a few minutes ago and I decided to go with my friend who was in caledon forest. I warped there and got a very very long loading screen so I decided to alt-f4 my game.

I ran the game again and spawned in caledon forest, after loading I decided to go back into the sylvari town, upon entering the loading screen I got disconnected with an error 7, now when I load my character the screen first shows the “the Grove” loading then switches to “Caledon Forest,” then I get another error 7. My character’s been stuck with that loading screen and the game boots me with an error 7 every single time.

my other characters seem unaffected.
Anyone know the fix to this?

hi, I just got my copy of GW2 and installed from the 2 disc installer and I’m currently patching my game, I assume a ton of files will be downloaded since it’s been a long time since release.

the problem I’m having is that the patcher downloads very slow, it fluctuates between 10KBps to roughly 50KBps, now I’ve seen my direct download rates reach about 150-200KBps on other sources e.g. when downloading the installer exe file from the site.

any way to fix this? I know I don’t have a beast of a connection but I feel 10KBps is a bit underwhelming especially if I need to download 61,000 more files for my game.

Am running the patcher as admin on a win 7 x64 machine.

any help would be greatly appreciated, TIA.
