They did it now, cause they knew not many people achieved it yet. They didn’t wanted to create even bigger rage later.
Yes, it would be nice if they would give people who used 400 points some little bonus, not just refund. I myself used just 300 but I understand people who rushed to get spec 2 days after premier. Maybe if i were still in high school I would do it too…

Anyway as you know from real world I guess.. It’s hard to create situation where wolf is fed and sheep is still alive..

I had to buy 10th character slot right after I bought expansion, so I spend more money than I wanted so.. I’m afraid you won’t get something in return from reaching 400 HP. Good luck tho~

If you re having problems.. go with friends? And you re ranger and still dying? ._.’’ My ranger run thru jungle with closed eyes.

250 is just perfect. 400 like many people noticed was grind xp fest…
With my short time during day for playing, it would be impossible to unlock all spec on all my alts before summer…
And now I ll be able to get slowly mastery levels and check out jungle on my spec character

In WvW you get those little tokens you can trade – I ran around EoTM for a bit with my revenant to get a few levels and I made 12 tokens in that time = 12 hero points I can use for that,

Actually it might be faster via WvW than via HoT unless you already have the masteries unlocked to get to the HPs.

I like the new expansion – in an overall-ish sense. But I despise the way the HP have been implemented and the gated content is poorly made as well – imagine a new player in half a year … with more or less empty maps … how long will it take for them to get the XP needed to unlock the essential masteries? Will they persever or will they quit …

First of all I do LIKE new expansion too but.. yeah. I logged all my alts.. My main had map completion so yay druid half made, half.. jesus.. ok then i went for other characters which I really like and wanted to give a try with new specs. I unlocked, just unlocked.. engie and elem..
I like my ranger but I’m almost not using druid (dungs and fractals).. So spec is nothing fun for me. I wanted to check, CHECK, reaper for example or warrior but I can’t.. I don’t wanna grind my butt off just to check it out. I ll probably play my ranger only now so I can unlock at least one spec..

Situation is even worse for my boyfriend. His main 2 years ago was thief, he did map completion on him. So yay, he unlocked half spec with him. But.. his main is now guard. He did two legendary weapons with him. Of course you know how many hero points it took, right? So now, yay expansion.. they want me to.. what?! 400 hero points which I used 2 months ago?! He couldn’t even unlock guard spec.
So maybe necro, he said. But then when he found out, he ll need to really hard grind for points. I can hardly stop him from leaving GW2..
He used to say: You know why I love GW2? I can play for few months, then have a break for 2 months. After break I can come back and nothing will force me to grind, so I can keep up with others. He hates GRIND, and he loved GW2, cause he never, NEVER had to grind. Now slap to the face. Grind if you wanna play new spec.

Sorry for long post with broken English.. I’m just mad I will never check specs of other classes, cause seriously.. Doing hero points on every character? Again.. and again… and again.. No thanks.. I ran from free MMOs cause of that and now I can see it here :<

As for berk/assasin I never felt good with that armour. Ok I can feel incredible power but 1 little mistake, one I don’t know lag or me beeing dumb and I’m downed. I know dungeons re not same as pvp but some vit or though wouldn’t hurt anybody I guess.. Let’s take SE p3 for example. Running thru bridge. Mostly I’m the only one who stays alive. I guess I’m just not lucky with my squads..
It’s true tho I never run real Arah (not given for free by my friend, and I heard it’s hard when not done fast) and I don’t know how my power/fero/though build would do there (prec is not a problem due to fury stacks).
I ll give it a try of course but I was never a fan of berk due to his “not much space left for mistakes” issue.

Hey guys I just wanted to really thanks you. You’ re truly the best community (with some exceptions but like everywhere..)

I tested ground targeting and I’m shocked. How is it possible I was never using it.. My engie on mortar/ grenades + elixir U was owning (events in Orr and WvW(there I little modified build but I guess you know why)). Suitability is ok but I still need to test berk armor. Even my friends (necro and warri) were shocked how grenade barrage is powerful.
I’m during learning how to stealth but everything before me I guess.

The flamethrower is a solid DPS weapon now that burning stacks in intensity. It is also a much more interesting weapon than grenades.

Grenade damage is overrated. The full duration of a grenade #1 throw is ~1 second. It is only the activation time that is 1/2 second.

Ah you see, I really like FT (saw my old build?). But so many people tell me, to at least try out grenades. I ll compare damage in some high fractals with friends (so nobody ll be angry cause engie’s experimenting).

That’s really handy info and tbh I was planning to buy some better mouse. Swaping is not a problem for me, I’m used to play elem ^^

I noted all what you said. And yeah I felt FT isn’t as strong as I thought but still Flame Blast is nice. It’s just matter of getting used to new ground targeting with grenades and all should go more smooth I guess.
I might know how to do stealth but.. my fingers aren’t used to quick dropping blast into field yet.. (might stacking on elem took some time to learn too, but now I’m doing it auto )
Till new mouse I ll try your idea of binding and targeting. Thanks alot!!

Yeah.. I had a feeling (when searching engie forum) I might be mistaken taking S into dungeons.. Oh tell me about my speed.. I hate it, but saw only 1 trait for fast running (which I consider little waste to take). But if most of you ll recommend it, I might try it too of course!

You are not using any elixirs? I ll try to run with berk armour then. All my amulets etc are berk too. Which traits you recommend to take? And (since I saw it few times) is ability to give allies le stealth is must to know?

Biggest problem for me (with grenades) is ground targeting.. but I guess I ll just need to learn it

First of all I was running dungeons always (till spec update) on my ranger and elem. Sadly I found hard time joining on my ranger.. Elem, even if I can stack to 18 might.. I found not fun to play (for now). Condis are eating my little elem alive..

Since I like challenges I thought engie would be good one to start with. I wanna engie to become my main character from now. I know a lot of lessons before me, but I’m open person (plus I always liked a design of engie).

I was happy with it, I was even running 20+ fractals on this. Stacking might in a little selfish way.. Why knight armour.. Because I’m still practising dodging (yes even after 2 years in GW) and I feel safer with additional toughness. IF knight armour is good I would be glad about it.. (reason? full knight asc armour..)

I wrote here cause I hope some pro and friendly engies might give me few good hits. And what to improve in my current build or how to change it
What I care about is damage and survivability mostly (since I run most of time with my though/heal guard bf).

Like topic said. Any Europe guild is cool but since we like to WvW I guess guild on Seafarer’s would be the best.

I said ‘we’, because I’ve got 2 more friends who are looking for guild, so 3 people. We were in guilds like “only meta build for dungeons or kick” or they were just completely ignoring chat or they were just childish (I understand fun and jokes, I do like them, but not everyday jokes about male generative organs ._. )

My friends playing since beta, I started half year ago. We like a lot doing fractals(we re at 34 and trying to get higher ^^) and WvW. Dungeons are mostly my favourite thing to do, since PvP is mostly done by my friends ^^

I just wanna friendly, small and talkative guild (small like not more than 100 people who don’t know each other).

What else can I add.. I’m old mmo player and I were mostly an officer in other games so I do know what it means to be busy. But I don’t like when there is 0 help from marshals/ leaders etc. I guess making guild is only 1, easy step, but holding it and letting people feel like beeing part of something bigger is harder part ^^

I hope I didn’t sound like some pro btch or something >_> I just like talking a lot and beeing part of good and helpful community ^^

Today I crashed already twice. Once in SM (during capturing) so ok, huge amount of people and insane lag.. and second time when I was just standing in safezone.
I’m really confused what to think about it.

And here additional information about my internet speed test:
download 43 Mbps and in case upload speed 3 Mbps

Graphic is mostly on medium/low and WvW low/lowest to help my computer deal with fps..

As you can see in attachment, I’ve got that window around 1-2 times per day (up to how long I play). My character is running in zerk or with friends and then all of sudden game crashes.. With no true reason. I send like 40 reports.. before posting on forum I tried repair GW2 in Properties but didn’t helped.. it checked all the files but everything is all right, game didn’t even downloaded a thing (assuming nothing is missing). Ok so I did reinstall game, but it’s crashing.
I started to get used to it but now when Tournament started and I need to wait 160 people to enter Battlegrounds I’m a little bit upset.. especially that I really enjoy playing GW :/
My friends told me it might be problem with my RAM, but like I said, game crashes only in Edge (rarely) and in Eternal (almost always at least once per play). Never during huge events or boss fights..

Here my computer: Intel Core 2 CPU 4400 2.00GHz 2.01GHz, RAM 3GB, 32-bits, AMD Radeon HD 6670

Hello, 2 months ago I started playing GW2 ^^ Now I agree with my friends, it’s one of the best MMOs ever. Lets back to topic. I’m drawing rarely and I’m not some awesome artist. My arts may have mistakes (anatomical or with perspective) but I draw cause my friends like my drawings
