Can confirm it’s definitely happening in some area discoveries/transfers. My Herald things just reset when I discovered new terrain, very same moment. Tested it with a second area, and on the transfer between Flamefrog Vale and Diresight Caverns, the facets deactivated. (Sparkfly Fen)
So it’s definitely related to the zonemapping. Going back and forth makes it repeatable. Part of it at the very least.
EDIT:
Can also confirm the F2 skill is not affected by this.

You have to wait for a helicopter to get there (Though I think you can also get up there with Updrafts – Can’t confirm that yet.)
It happens at night, usually around the 30 minute mark, I -think-. From then, the heli stays there until daybreak and you can use it to get up there.
Can confirm Fire Wyvern in the first HoT map.
Canopy above the Pale Reavers, then you fly off east. [EDIT1:] You can get up that canopy through the helicopter that spawns at the later part of the Nights. (It has a map marker) at the first ‘camp’ you come across if you enter the map.
[EDIT2:] Alternately, you can fly south from the Canopy Over Pact Encampment.
No sign of electric wyvern just yet.

I’d agree with you – But figured I’d post the guess here anyway. If anyone has Itzl language unlocked already, could you please check?
You’ll meet him on your way up those cliffs with the mushrooms.
I’ve got the suspicion that the Wyvern is locked behind the Itzl Language. There’s a scout at Wyvern Cliffs, right below one of the mesas full of Wyvern… Who I can’t understand due to language issues!
I’m assuming he’ll teach us some way to capture Hatchlings, or lure out the Juveniles, or something.
(Hopefully I’ll be proven wrong!)
I’m going to agree with many posters here – Probably repeat some of the things they’re saying while I’m at it, as I post my feedback.
1) Traits & Utilities: There’s DEFINITELY not enough customization here – Other classes have some traits that either affect their utility skills’ effects or even their weapon skills. With Revenant, the three ‘core’ Specializations offer 0 skill changes, instead only offering passive, ‘soft’ changes to the way the profession work. Combining this with the incredibly low-feeling customization of the class and the long channel times, the Revenants’ traits and utilities are both extremely lackluster.
2) The above issue is further compounded by the inability to weapon-swap. While it’s possible to hit off a good rotation by switching your Legend in a timely fashion, the fact that you cannot trait to change your skills’ effects means that even as a new player, you’ll have to focus on using the weapon skills you get better to keep an eye on energy management – The fact that you can only use a single weapon set in combat really makes combat more tedious – And this is made even worse by the fact that everything besides auto-attack both takes energy AND has a cooldown.
3) Energy cost + Cooldown. This feels patently unfair – Not only do your weapon skills drain your energy, even they come with a cooldown. This means that not only will using your weapon skills make it less doable to activate your Utilities if you use them too much, after using them you’re also locked out of them for – in some cases – the rest of the battle.
I do understand that, by only letting the Utilities be without cooldown, you’re trying to incentivize this stranger playstyle, but it feels patently unfair that doing so locks you out of 40% of your skills, as well as your Healing Skill. If there was more customization within a Legend, be it through traited effects or more utilities to choose from, this would not be so much of an issue however. This is probably the smallest issue out of all them, however… Giving it some more thought, this might simply just need a few minor tweaks to make more enjoyable.
4) The Healing Skills. I think this one is an amalgation of everything that bothers me about the Revenant; While the casting time is alright, the actual healing output is fairly low, there’s an energy cost attached to a HIGH cooldown, and as with all other skills, there is absolutely no modification possible aside from adding Fury. These minor annoyances are made even more clear when you compare and contrast this to the skills of other classes, and generally makes the Revenant feel pretty soft.
5) The Salvation line. Honestly, this trait line feels like a step in the right direction – A good part of it is definitely focused around the Staff and Ventari, but it has enough other traits to make it a viable line for a spec that uses Energy to heal, rather than staff orbs… But I would say that this still falls short of fixing the issues we see in the Revenants’ lack of customization – Though the trait “Tranquil Benediction”, giving Regen and Swiftness on the healing orbs is a great start. I might suggest adding similar mechanics to other trait lines with different boon or condition-based effects (Imagine if a Revenant could create “Condition orbs” with one of his weapons that could be traited for specific conditions, for example, or a daze if you step on too many of them.)
6) Damage. Both the Revvies’ damage and healing output feels very much underwhelming when specc’d for it – It feels like playing a Shortbow Ranger at this point, except you don’t get the satisfying feeling of dozens of Bleeding tics, but instead only moderate damage with unimpressive crits and condi damages.
TLDR: Revenant needs more customization, be it through adding in Utilities to swap out, trait improvements, Weapon Swapping or all of the above. Beyond that, I think the Revenant is a fairly decent class, okay to play (Ought to be fun if it’s improved), but like all other classes, not quite for everyone.

Thoughts? She’s awesome – She’s promising Asura Progeny personified.
Anet – props for making that adorable little ball of snark.
And here’s my Asura Ranger – First picture is his Crystal-Desert-prepared look, though that won’t see much use, probably. Mask was also handy with the toxins though
Second and third are his more recent winter outfits, with the gasmask keeping the ears warm – The perfect combination of thick & protective leathery coats, with Asuran boots, shoulders and gloves.
Weapon is also appropriate for the dyes/armor types, first uses those white bows (Of the White Heart, and such), second and third the Mystic Shortbow.
I cannot like this enough – Well thought through from my uneducated perspective, and unlike the way the current PS ending, and LS feel, it’d actually feel… Epic. Like a proper achievement, an accomplishment where you mattered. Currently, the PS ends with you as a part of a chain – A strong part (or rather, the others are weak), but not any more apparently important than any other nameless Pact NPC. Then comes the Living Story, where the first real indicator of -you- having gotten anything done, is where Scarlet sends you a message that she hates you.
And while the Living Story is most definitely getting better in how it’s delivered, what’s being done, etc, the main point of critique to it, is that it seems pointless. Away from the aim of the game. And are we seriously supposed to believe that, while Scarlet is ravaging the lands (And posing a more difficult challenge than Death Incarnate Zhaitan?!), the other Elder Dragons are just going to continue chilling in their domains?
Kinda makes it seem as though the Elder Dragons aren’t really a threat at all, instead just… Well, forces of nature – Tornadoes or hurricanes. Local troubles, periodic troubles, but nothing we can’t recover from. Occasional catastrophes, but it seems most of the Elder Dragon threat comes from their waking up. Zhaitan’s ships were something of an issue, but not quite as much as the tidal wave that came when he woke up and brought Orr to the surface.
Kralkatorrik’s Ogre Revolt was damaging, but only a little – His constant minion attacks are easily contained by the High Legions, and the only real damage Kralkie’s done is the Dragonbrand… By flying over, before… What, sitting? Sleeping again in the Crystal Desert?
None of the elder dragons are an active threat, or even a passive one. At best, they’re a distant hassle, easily contained with the military might of Tyria – Even before the Pact.
Rant aside – The concept proposed here would not only make the Dragons relevant again, it’d also make the Players relevant. It’d create a very real threat, on a very dynamic world, with real problems and real people. Maybe it could even incorporate things like co-op instances where you unlock new paths in the same continuity depending on the PS choices of the party members, such as their Orders.
Aw maaaaaan, only one gasmask? I am appreciative that it does not depend on RNG, but only one? I would like to purchase several copies for most of my characters.
Please consider making it a gem store bought item for the duration of the patch!!
Don’t give them that idea. What they need to do (and has been suggested several times) is put all these achivement rewards (skins/minis) in the same (or possibly a separate) panel thing where we can pull the zenith/raidant/hellfire stuff.
I second this!
Infinitely thirding this! It’s what we earn for the achievement, why should we only have one of these?
It’s a waste of beautiful, awesome skins!
…Livia (aka ‘Scarlet’) has come out of hiding…
Having Livia nicknamed Scarlet would actually make a lot of sense, given her hair and tendency toward that color (as seen in GW). Then, the question would be how/why she got involved with the Aetherblades, since they seem to be the enemy of choice.
Since she was a royal advisor/guard in the Sea of Sorrows book, she definitely has connections with the Krytan throne.
Not just that, she was the CAPTAIN of the Shining Blade, protectors of the Krytan Royal Bloodline. So it’s fairly unlikely she is going against a queen who, despite fairly questionable choices of money-spending, is beloved by the people and firm in rule. Unless she went full Lich-Crazy.

Working on it…

That seems to repeat once, then the more elaborate part starts… But at least the chorus is here, too sleepy for the rest.

Is where I’m at so far… Though I think I may just have messed the pitch up, at least it’s the starting point.
Higher pitch version has (0) 5431 5431 5431 1235 as a starting point, I think…
