I waited to finish my 100% Tyria Map Competion until the 11/17 update, which aimed to fix broken map rewards on Southsun, Dry Top, Silverwastes, and HoT maps.

I finished the last HP for 100% on 11/17 after the update, and I did not receive Gifts of Exploration. Since then, I have revisited every map including the Chantry of Secrets with no luck.

I saw a thread on reddit where a player received Map Completion for Doric Lake, a map that was cut from the game in early development.

In any event, this bug seems uncommon, but it seems that I am not the only one with an issue.

I was in the Silverwastes yesterday, working on finding some of the golden badges in the jumping puzzle. I was there long enough for a Breach/Vinewrath to start, and I got a portal stone after my 2nd completed event.

Unfortunately, I don’t intend to participate in the beta, and I didn’t really want a portal stone. However, a couple guildies have been in the Silverwastes for most of their playtime this week with no luck. I find this a little tragic, and I imagine my guildies find this somewhat demoralizing.

I would like to give away my access (for free), but the flag is account bound. I don’t have any interest in being an unpaid beta tester, but many other people are quite excited by the opportunity.

While I realize ArenaNet might not want their beta completely skewed with 18k+AP players, or speculative people just looking for early insider trading angles, I would be grateful if some mechanism were made available to transfer my beta access to someone who would be more appreciative.

Well, on the positive side, the Avatar of the Pale Tree mini does have a firefly/glitter aura that rivals Faren’s. Still, her unblinking, thousand-yard stare only gifts her with slightly more personality than Trahearne.

I know she’s a little under the weather from the events in the living story, but the Avatar of the Pale Tree miniature looks like a stroke victim. She never blinks and her facial muscles are completely static.

I was hoping for elegant when I purchased this mini, but it’s startlingly terrifying as released. Disappointed, and I have a little buyer’s remorse.
