I think IlMattoCavaliere wanted to say that he asked the tactics for the first boss. If the person that advertised the party did put in the description that he requests only experienced players, then it’s fine. I doubt that was the case, and this thing it’s sadly taking place very often, kicking first-timers, especially when they ask for information ( they encourage them to not do that, and then they might lead other parties to a wipe).
IlMattoCavaliere is an example of how new people think of this exploiting, stacking and skipping. They make people think that it is boring to play this game. They are ruining Guild Wars 2, isntead of showing them that it’s actually thrilling to play it.

Well the fact that designer can actually make mobs don’t lose aggro, and he doesn’t really grinds my gears. I mean,why not make reasonable mobs that aren’t with short term memory and forget in seconds that a band of heroes just lurked by them? Game would be much more fun and challenging anyway. Add to that a significant increase in the reward at the end, and voila : people don’t skip dungeon mobs anymore.

Boss fights ( a few examples)
In HOTW most of them are low dps and don’t put too much of a threat in players, though they take a looong time to kill. At least make them a bit more thrilling.
In AC:
Spider Queen needs to just be allowed to cast aoes even when players are in melee range. A smart spider queen would do that, and all of the sudden exploiters are dead.
Kholer and his minions, maybe some mechanic that will trigger when people stack. If it will amplify the damage, then it will be curtains for stackers/exploiters.
For final boss in path 3 really it’s so easy without stacking and exploiting that Idk why zerkers bother with it. Put some rocks to fall everywhere, that will take care of them.
Furnace, Caudecus, Twilight Arbor, Crucible of eternity are ok dungeons and so far I didn’t have groups that wanted to exploit. Or when they did want, they saw it’s not needed and they played normally. Citadel of flame is pretty easy dungeon, and people still use exploits. Make it harder?! Yes, why not? Make it more challenging.

So if this changes would take place, I guess many people that posted on this thread will be happy and many ( exploiters I look at you) will rage and whine on how cruel life is and that they need to play the game. Also more people will learn to play right and the success rate on the new Wurm and on Tequatl will increase drastically.

Harper, I did AC hundreds of times and other dungeons aswell, though I still go without stacking/exploiting or without skipping. It’s because I just like the gameplay.
If you want quick gold please buy it via gemstore. Or learn how to gain it through other methods.
If the gameplay is not to your liking there are other games out there . Exploiting the game is no excuse.

Fror, it should attack everyone, as in no stacking/exploiting combat, everyone is affected by it. Defending an exploit is useless, same as telling lies to yourself.

Spider Queen doesn’t work as intended if you stack in the corner. Why do I say that? Whenever someone moves away from the stack , it triggers the right mechanics and the stacking group gets wiped. These aoe attacks of the boss don’t work there, so that is why it is labeled as an exploit. People that think they discovered “the most efficient way” by exploiting are quite wrong and this trend should be punished at least, until a solution will present itself from ArenaNet.

As Yayuuu said, in the worst case scenario, fixing these skills that are exploited will stop the trend and it’s the best solution as far as I’ve seen to this problem. Though fixing the boss mechanics would be even better.

Exploiting reaps away the thrill and satisfaction. Eliminating it will make the game so much better, and only the exploiters will find it hard as they actually have to play the game, which is very hard for them. These players are the only ones who defend this foul method, as of course they feel threatened by threads like this one.

Aloha! I am Victor of Aurora Glade, I love playing without stacks, and I don’t put restrictions on level or on knowledge, or on spec. Every profession has so much variety and we should recognize it, instead of forcing people to use dps. Conditioners are vital I’d say for clearing mobs, tanky/support types buff up players and heal them so they run the dungeon smoothly. Dps do the dirty work and hit hard where it’s needed. Everyone can choose what they want and everyone is involved in the fight equally.

I agree that some boss battles are boring and basically you just dodge sometimes and hit him constantly since it has low dps against players, but a very generous hp pool. Still, stacking in order to exploit should be prohibited as it is no excuse.

Dungeon runs even without stacking and exploiting can be very short if everyone knows what they are doing. Saving time is no excuse for the exploiters.

If anyone wishes to run a dungeon and needs a tanky support, healer, conditioner, please pm me. Of course no stacking and exploiting.

Stop the exploiters, stop the dps Meta to tell people what to do, ANet fix the exploits and give us a challenging game. Change Guild Wars 2 into something even better!

Badges Of honor bug (WvW Eotm)

Hello! My friends and I have an issue with the fractal relics from the chests, but it fixes itself after several tries ( sometimes it took me 5 minutes or more) . Get near chest, open it, try to take them, repeat. It is sad to hear that this bug type is spread beyond the fractals. Persistance is the key, until some developers see this and they act and fix it.

Hello! I have the same problem in the PVE environment , in an isolated area, where usually the FPS is at its maximum. It happens very rarely though. Restarting solves it, though I wouldn’t want to be forced to restart the game now and then just because a bug.
