Seconded – this – I would love this.

I adored the new map, I feel like it’s the best one that’s landed since Verdant Brink. It was also aesthetically brilliant. The final fight felt well balance (challenging but diverse enough to not cause build hell) and the narrative twists worked for me.

My only disappointment would be the aerial combat skills not returning, but that’s a small thing.

I for one love the return of verticality in maps. It made exploring quite the pleasure.

With even more books being added to our collections, I thought I’d suggest the implementation of a home instance based bookshelf to keep them in. I hope this would be barely any work on the devs part as they already have bookshelf models in game.

With the usual fluff items I don’t mind just tossing them into the void once their purpose is served but books are different. Somebody went to the trouble to write all the pages, and us to collect them all. Tiny self contained stories that seem worth holding onto, but not at the cost of my inventory space that I need for looting and what not.

p.s. If I’m getting a wishlist going, it always seemed strange to me that we don’t have a bedroom space of our own in our home instances. I’d love to see one added in the future, or perhaps on an airship that serves as home base in an expansion. We could even display those trophies we get from our personal stories in there (check your story tab for the original campaign to see what I mean). But this, I imagine would be heaps of work better spent on something with more impact to the game.

We already did fight to reclaim Ascalon, and we won. We will just win again if those filthy separatists manage to sneakily claim any of our homeland.

Logged in this afternoon, all the progress from that character shift to final log out last night is gone. That’s a new skin from the mystic forge, a bunch of gear, at least 4 gold, half a map worth of completion and 4 event chains including a world boss which have disappeared. O, and a boatload of crafting mat’s I had been grinding for, along with whatever was waiting at the black lion for pick up.

It might sound like small change to you guys, but I hate the grind, so it’s a fair effort to me (also, I really liked the ogre mace skin from the mystic toilet, it was going to look rad on my rev).

So, I was running around last night with my mesmer, had collected 2 black lion chests so character switched about 5 minutes after the log reported the WvW match up would change shortly and transferred the chests. Continued playing last night both before and after the server update.
