I know I’d certainly be more interested in native Linux support. If it wasn’t for the lack of compatibility with most of the games I play I wouldn’t even bother with Windows.
The biggest hurdle would be going from DX9 to OGL and to be honest OGL has been somewhat neglected over the years :/
I really prefer the flexibility of the old system over the new system. All the new system really seems to get us are four extra trait points and fewer options.
So why not just go the best of both worlds, go with the old system that has significantly more flexibility and toss in 4 extra trait points.
I must agree on the condition damage changes. While I love it, when not used against me, it’s pretty obvious something’s off when it melts some World Bosses in less than thirty seconds. I hate to use the word ‘nerf’, but anyone with eyes can see there’s an issue.
And the reason for that isn’t as much that Condition Damage is “off”. Think about it for three years the world bosses have been scaled for groups of players where only the non condition builds really did significant sustained damage. Now condition builds are actually dishing out equivalent damage of course you are going to see them die significantly faster.
Imagine if only 25 Melee characters could hit a world boss at any given time for a specific weapon type. Because that is effectively what conditions where before the patch.
Again I stress that of course bosses are going to go down faster not because conditions are broken but because after three years of being hobbled 100% of the people showing up to world bosses are now able to contribute.
op you can’t be serious? what trait that helped you survive through the maps have gone? You may be overreacting a little bit.
It probably isn’t that they are “gone” gone, they are probably still there but due to the new trait system being significantly more rigid than the old system the build has become inaccessible. For example In my builds I would frequently use multiple T1 traits instead of socketing a T2 trait or two T2s instead of a T3. Now you are forced to socket exactly one T1 one T2 and one T3.
They could have just added 4pts to the old build system and called it a day. Which would have given people the ability to strait spec three, which is effectively what the new system lets you do. Plus it would have allowed people to mix and match more to their individual play styles.
