Missing pvp skins

Cheers Meow, unfortunately I have taken my other characters to the mists but had no luck. The majority of the missing skins were weapons, so the ones missing have been fairly noticeable, I did check though in the wardrobe at a crafting station and the ones that I remember having are all greyed out.

At this stage I think I’ll have to assume they are gone for good but I’ll throw in a support ticket, see if ANet can help.

Cheers again

Hi all, not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but thought someone here might have an idea on what to do.

I am a bit of an on and off player with GW2 so at first I didn’t really care, but I have noticed that since the patch to change to the current wardrobe system, I am missing all of the previous pvp skins I had (just to clarify in advance I totally understand the new wardrobe system).

I have tried entering the heart of the mists via the portal in Lion’s Arch, and have played multiple games in pvp as I have seen other people recommending to do in order to restore the lost skins, but so far I’ve had no luck and they haven’t returned.

I’ve had a look around the forums/had a quick google, but haven’t been able to find any solutions as to what to try next to restore them. Apart from submitting a support ticket not sure what else to try.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers

Missed all the events due to my timezone, so thats why the 0s =/ (I don’t think the buggy worthless mess of the scavenger hunts really warrants a score…)

Although sounds like even those that were able to do them found them long and boring too so I’m probably not too far off hah :P

Final Event should be repeated.

Not trying to be the bad guy here but I don’t see any reason Anet should need to repeat it. They advertised the times well before so everyone knew. I missed most of the Halloween events because I couldn’t make it and I don’t expect them to make up for it. Let’s just say that when a store has a sale and I miss it, I don’t blame the store.

A lot of people’s frustrations are directed at issues such as rampant bugs, disconnects during the final fight resulting in no loot, or the primary concern for some that, for a global game, the one time events were placed at such a time that a good chunk of the player base were not able to see them at all due to time zones.

Try being a player in the Asia or Oceanic regions and not being able to see any of these events at all. I can’t imagine you would be defending ANET if the events had be scheduled for our prime time instead of yours.

The halloween events are a invalid arguement. The only one off thing was the cinematic, which was easy to youtube. This weekend had major events placed in a smaller time frame then halloween, that a large chunk of players were completely unable to see or participate in.

Guess what? I am oceanic, and I woke up at 7am to do it.

How is that in any way acceptable?

For others it was earlier and even then on a Monday morning. This shoudn’t be something to defend.

Final Event should be repeated.

I’d like to give some thoughts on the whole event of this weekend, but since I’m an Oceanic player…I honestly can’t. By that, I mean because of the events being at rediculous hours for us (especially on a work day) I was not able to see one event, let alone participate in any of them.

All this weekend gave for most Oceanic players was fractuals, which are staying around and so not really related to the events. They are fun, and the few I’ve done seem a lot better then the other dungeons, but doesn’t take away the sting of basically missing the entire weekend.

Basically this event for myself and I’m sure other Oceanic and Asia players resulted in, logging on, doing the scavenger chains swamped with bugs for worthless rewards and stumbling into the new zone with all the major events already completed with nothing much to do there (I could be wrong but is there anything honestly of worthwhile to do in the new zone apart from look at the pretty scenery?).

The whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth towards GW2 and its future events and how ANet apparently wish to conduct their business and view their playerbase. The Halloween event actually made me want to login everyday and play even after I was unable to see the one time event, this however has made me debate if I even want to touch this game anymore since it feels like any future event is just going to repeat the samething..

Like many others I missed most of the major event stuff due to my time zone. I managed to do the scavenger hunt chains, but seeing as they gave nothing worthwhile/were mostly bugged out to the point of aggrevation, it sounds like the only phase worth doing was phase 3.

Having also missed the one time events due to them being on at a rediculous hour of the morning in my part of the world, left me with a very bad taste in my mouth for this entire event. Partially for the missed loot from phase 3, but primarily the fact that there was not much explanation as to what was going on. It did not feel like there had been an invasion of karka at all in LA or any great importance in going to Southsun Cove.

Its quite possible I’ve just entirely overlooked something, but given I wasn’t able to experience any of the events I felt completely lost in the event and it just felt very half arsed as a result. I didnt mind the one time only event from the halloween event, as that was just a small cinematic which was easy to youtube (something in game replaying it though should have been implemented), this event though has left me very disappointed in ANet and has given myself and others little motivation to want to participate/play at all in future events since we will most likely miss all interesting content again.
