I thought it was very strange when I did my PvP daily and didn’t get a laurel. Why introduce a new type of daily reward and then ignore half of the dailies?

Just started downloading the update, and at 350mb it’s showing 2% complete. I don’t have enough bandwidth in the month or HD space to be downloading 17gb so I stopped the download – is this some sort of error, or is it really that big? I though it was mostly fixes and a couple new dynamic events.

I am glad I decided not to go for festivoo the merry – I had intended to do exactly what OP did, and would have been wasting my time. This is exactly what update notes are for, and there’s really no excuse for making changes like this behind the scenes.

I think the whole point of Fractals was to address this. If you’re bored with that too, stop playing the game for a month and see what the new update is when it comes out. There’s no fee to play, so you don’t have to get your monies worth.

Range increase on this is vital – I tried this build out a few times, but staying stacked with your teammates while all five of you are actively dodging and maneuvering is basically impossible

I guess until the end of January I’ll focus on 100% map completion and ecto farming for a legendary. I wonder if finding a group for fractals will be harder now that more people decide to wait for this patch before playing it more.

I don’t understand why people get upset – we’d just like to be able to play with a gamepad. Everyone else can continue to use the keyboard and mouse. I personally have a LOT of trouble hitting the 6 through 0 keys, and even more trouble using any skills at all while moving (since the mouse hand is holding rightmouse down and my other hand is using wsad)

This could definately work, as there are programs that almost succeed at adding this functionality to the game already, but because they are third party there are problems such as the mouse moving offscreen and clicking outside of the game or things like that.

Please note I’m only asking for combat support – I’m happy to use the keyboard for everything else, but being able to use a gamepad for combat would be amazing and make the game twice as much fun for me.

Aww man, so I stayed up for nothing? Please be more clear with when updates are going to be going live Arenanet, you said in several places it would be going live on the 14th so I assumed it would be at some version (EST, PST, servertime, whatever) of midnight. (Yes, my fault for assuming I know)

… well that’s unfortunate that the head Econ guy doesn’t see “Flipping” as Manipulation.

I’m just curious what else you’d call it when the entire point is to manipulate the final sales price for a bigger profit on something that would have been a lot cheaper if there was no short-term speculating middlemen driving up the prices.

Flipping an item lowers its price – if an item is flipped often enough the buy and sell orders will be within coppers of the 15% charge for using the trading post.

I heartily suggest taking thief if you make a charr – they really do seem slow otherwise. Plus the thieves pistols look good in charr hands. And it’s just as funny to have the biggest race stealthing as it is to make an asura warrior

Talked to a random asura NPC (name in screenshot) while exploring Rata sum with a new asura toon. The dialogue let me click a butotn for either being an asura or not and see either the asura or non asura dialogue

I’ve been thinking about making a quiver for me asura thief because of the shortbow animations, but since the asura already have so many clipping issues I was hoping to find some screenshots or footage of one equipped. I can’t find any online, do you know of such pictures or maybe have an asura with a quiver and could take screenshots for me? Thank in advance

Playing as an asura thief with signet of shadows you’re zooming along like a bolt of lightning – after playing that for so long when I try to roll a big character they seem so slow (especially in the norn starting area where everything is built bigger) that I just can’t play another race.

I love the fact that these tiny little adorabloodthirsty sociopathic geniuses hold their own with the other races. That’s right, my smallest available height asura warrior is in fact just as strong as your bulked out norn warrior. Talk about efficiency!

The only problem with an asuran toon is that they clip like crazy, armor/weapons/ears…
