As a player who has reached legendary both seasons strictly solo queue… season 2 was much, much, MUCH easier to obtain Legendary than season 1. Say what you want season 1 being a grind but what people in this age fail(mainly due to the fact that 99% of the population is spoiled) to realize is that in order to achieve something you must put -TIME- in it. Season 1 being a time consumer only justifies it requiring more work and effort. It takes more skill to break a 50/50 win rate and move up displaying resiliency and personal will than to steamroll your games without even a second thought.
Time=more games. More games=experience.
So what is more “prestigious”?
Something that requires time, work effort and skill or something that can be obtained without even breaking a sweat?
Do the math, its not the tickets, its crossing 10 divisions total.
If you got to legendary last season you have crossed 5 divisions, you need to cross 5 more which means getting legendary Twice in a row is the only possible way to finish it in 2 seasons
Hitting ruby will put me at tier 4. Hitting diamond will complete the achievement.
Hitting amber from nothing probably counted during the first season.
In that case, it should be the same this season so I could just get to ruby and be done with this horrible aspect of the game.
The meta achievements are not meant to be completed in one or two seasons. Granded skilled players who reached Legendary last season and eventually reach Legendary division this season will eventually complete all 4 meta achievements. The achievements are the same, but the requirements gradually increase per tier. They are long term goals for players to pursued for titles and rewards.
Actually only need diamond this season.

Then your doing the math wrong, its impossible to get the legendary back piece in 2 seasons withou getting legendary division twice
I’m Sapphire at moment, 3/4 League Elite. Once I hit ruby I’ll be on 4/4 League Elite. Hitting diamond will complete it.
All that’s left are easy achievements and 3 dailies per day for 15(12) days.
I’m glad I’ll be done sooner than most, sPVP/league in this game is such a headache.
Hitting Legendary again would be cool but I am not going try-hard mode as I did last season. Now that was a pain, especially for solo queuing.
