80 Ranger
Jade Syndicate [SYN] of Jade Quarry
My opinion on the matter, by having those pins showing on the map, they are covering other icons that players may be looking for (crafting NPCs, etc.). The pins are an annoyance at times, especially in towns. I would like an option to disable pin display.
It’s the weekend! I know most players will actually be in game rather than stuck at work reading forums, but I thought I’d bump my post here just in case.
We would really like to find some more members to help flush out our ranks and make it easier on everyone to have groups ready to hit dungeons, FotM and even some WvW. We are all adults who have jobs and families, so it’s important to us that we find players who know this is a game and want to have fun while completing content.
I look forward to hearing from some of you!
Still looking for more members. Again, we are primarily an EST/CST NA Prime guild.
The culling has gotten much worse. There needs to be a way to fix this. If it’s to lower lag/connection delays, then let us take responsibility for our own computers and turn settings down if we have an issue. Why do I have to see everyones spell effects? Especially considering I don’t see the players who are casting them!
What a great night we had! Two new members who ran Fractals with us. The banter was great and I can’t wait to find even more players to join in on the fun.
I know the new guild quest system is causing some issues for small guilds, but we firmly believe a smaller, tight knit group is the best way to go. Sure, it may take us a little longer to do what the big guilds do, but we’ll be with friends and players who are here for fun.
Don’t be shy, message me and see if we can help you enjoy your time in game!
We are still looking for more members. No pressure atmosphere, just some fun and working together to complete content in the game.
Feel free to whisper me in game or PM me here on the forums.
Server: Jade Quarry
Timezone: EST/CST primetime
Playstyle: Casually determined to not be bored
Communication: Vent (Have a website, but since we’re small, not using it yet)
Jade Syndicate [SYN] is a small guild with friendly, like-minded players. Founded by some friends who have been gaming together for over 5 years, we have merged with another small group who are also long time associates both in game and real life. We like to have fun and would like to find some more members who enjoy the game and participating in Dungeons, Fractals and WvW.
What we have to offer is a friendly environment where we have fun while getting things done. We’d like to find more players who are looking to log in and run stuff for the majority of their playtime. We are casual in attitude but we will complete anything that is thrown at us. Our main group is at Fractal 25 with just about every dungeon path clear. We will be more than happy to catch new folks up in the fractals as well. We want to find like minded people who are determined to complete the game content while enjoying their time online.
If we sound like a possible fit for you, please PM me here on the forums or contact me directly in game. If I’m not online, feel free to send me a mail and I’ll contact you as soon as I can.

“Oops”
sigh
Husband turns around to rez me, again.
It’s F2P
Other than that, it’s the same old story of every other MMO out there. Just glad there’s a F2P game out that has really nice graphics. So done with paying for these stupid games. LOL
Yeah, big congratulations on the achievement!
Might just see it pop-up on IGN GOTY for 2k12 =D
I’m sorry, nothing to do with this topic, but why type “2k12”? It’s the same amount of keystrokes as “2012”. Seriously… what is wrong with people these days?
On topic, um, yay for ANet? How many games get named “Game of the Year” in various mediums every single year? Yeah, thought so. Yes, this is a great game, but if it was a monthly subscription game, I wouldn’t be playing it still.
Honestly, the ONLY reason I’m not seriously ticked off at how this has been handled, is the fact that this is a F2P game (after initial purchase).
That said, I’m still annoyed hearing about people who got the mail that weren’t even logged on for the event.
ANet’s script was obviously flawed. Best way to have handled this situation would have been to just send every active account at that time a mail with the box. Sure, some would get double rewarded (um, some already have as it is), and some who weren’t there would get rewarded for not doing anything (was a terrible lagfest/buggy event anyway).
What it comes down to is this: Good Faith.
Players warned ANet about One Time Events, they were told how it would negatively impact many of the player base. Yet, they still did it.
If I don’t get a chest, so be it. Again, I’m just really glad this is a F2P game and I wont worry about giving them another penny of my money.
