I understand what you guys are saying, and I agree with you on most of the things you said.
Yes we got alot of nice things, and yes I understand how new players might see that this is enough and that there shouldn’t be any more items added.
But that’s my point, I’m not asking for new items to be added, I’m asking that for those who really put alot of time into GW1 (getting 30 points in HoM is easy, I’m talking about 30+) would like to see more than just titles, and I’m not asking Anet to just throw in some new set of gear. All I’m saying is that just as every other weapons that you get through the Mystic Forge, the ones that cost alot of time and gold to make, to have the option to get a few items that require HoM stuff to get.
They gave us the Fiery Dragon Sword for free, and made the Icy Dragon Sword cost about 100g to get (it’s called Jormag’s Breath in GW2). I’m just asking for a few combinations on the Mystic Forge that require mats from the HoM for more high-end and harder to get rewards.
Hi!
So I was running around Lions Arch with my dual wield Fiery Dragon Sword and Jormag’s Breath, and thought how EPIC it would be if there was a way for me to combine them into an awesome frostfire greatsword of some sort, and then I started thinking about how much the HoM gear could be used for unique upgrades. These could be with simple item combinations or a very complex and expensive such as using the Gift items and alot of ectos to make.
I believe that the HoM rewards are really nice, and I really loved that and it made me look forward to it. But after a time it became a little too familiar and I felt like trying new things and using new weapon/armor skins, but I also feel like it’s a waste to have so many cool stuff available for me through the HoM system and yet not use them because I’ve been seeing them for pretty much all of my leveling period.
If there was a way to upgrade gear from the HoM by combining it with other GW2 gear to make some very unique stuff, maybe some more GW1 armor sets, or maybe even some new sets! Things that people thought would really be nice in GW1 like what happened with the Fellblade, making it a Greatswords was a very nice move!
I would love to see such a thing implemented to the game, it would make the loyal GW1 players feel alot more rewarded. I know I would.
