General guild info: (Note that as of 2:36AM, CST, 9/14/2012, the guild is bugged and I can only invite people to join at this point.)

Name: Disciples of Mars [DoM]
Mars, the Roman god of war, was the most prominent of the military gods worshipped by the Roman legions. The planet Mars was named after this god, as befitting the red planet’s bloody color.
As we will be a PvP/WvW based guild, it only seems fitting to have the ultimate god of war in our identity. However, there will be PvE events as well.
Before I go too much further into details, here are some basic requirements/requests:
1.) You must be on Stormbluff Isle.
2.) I would prefer that you are over the age of 17.
3.) You must be an active player.
4.) Though not necessary, I would prefer that you have a character who is at least level 40.
5.) You MUST be respectful towards other players, whether they are in the guild or not.
(Violation of the 5th requirement may get you permanently banned without notice.)
If you feel these terms are fair, I hope that you keep reading.
Of the things to talk about, I feel that guild size is one of the most important topics. In previous MMOs that I’ve played, I have never had any fun in large standing guilds. As such, I do not expect this guild to grow to be over 50 members – I want quality members, not a huge quantity of them. Next, I want to hit on the topic of Ventrilo, as I’m sure some of you will be curious. I completely support Vent and I will more than likely be renting a server to accommodate twenty people (this will be updated when I have a Vent.) As a leader, I do not strive to be a dictator. The voice of my guild mates will be very important to me and I will take into consideration any suggestions that you may have about how the guild should run or simply what events you want to be doing. While on the topic of events, there will be weekly events. Most of these events will be held on the weekends and the number of which will depend on how many people seem interested. Just like anyone else, I may not be able to attend all of the events. Because I know my absence at times will be inevitable, I will be putting my full trust in five other players who I think can handle things while I am gone. These five people will have essentially all of the same powers that I have. This leads me to the topic of responsibility as an individual. In this guild, we will not tolerate any malicious behavior. If you do happen to see anyone who is acting poorly, take a screenshot and send either me or an officer a message. I do not want this guild to get a bad image; I expect you to take on the responsibility of protecting its name. Remember that when you join [DoM], you are representing a whole group of people, not just yourself.
Here is a little about me:
My name is Will and I am a third year college student. You may call me by my real name or my in-game name, which will be Leuce (short for Leucetios.) In game, my main character is a Charr Engineer. I have played numerous MMOs in the past and this is the first time I am trying to form my own guild. I am trying to build this guild based on what I have seen in the past, whether these things are failures or examples to go by. By no means will I be perfect, but I will do my best to learn to be the best leader I can possibly be.
With all of this being said, I would like you all to write something about yourself when replying to this post and showing a genuine interest in the guild.

Just yesterday, I created a guild and, to my surprise, despite being the leader, I have absolutely no permissions. I cannot promote people, I cannot queue upgrades, I cannot change the message of the day, I cannot edit rank permissions.. I basically cannot do anything. My guild is called Disciples of Mars [DoM] and we are on Stormbluff Isle.
