While wielding a hammer on an asura, jumping while running has a high chance to cause your character’s model to jitter back a bit before returning to its intended position. This gets really irritating, but oddly enough doesn’t apply to greatswords, despite sharing the same movement animation.
As far as I remember, this has been in since beta. When is it going to get fixed? (It can’t be very hard if greatsword is working properly)
No thank you.
You missed the event? You missed the item. Sorry.
Your character was too low level? Um. I helped a level 4 character in Fort Cadence get her last page. I didn’t know her at all, but she asked for help and I was willing to give it. I had a few people help my low level characters get their pages as well. The zones were well populated with people, and not lacking in people willing to help.
I do agree that several things should be account bound rather than soulbound (for instance, gathering tools). But armor pieces are not something that needs to change.
You’re implying that people who missed the event are saying it should be account bound? How does that make any sense; they wouldn’t be able to get it anyway…
The third character I did the event with was level 5; with some help it is doable, but that doesn’t change the fact that characters created after the event can not get a book from one of your other characters. I don’t see how this would be bad in any way, since the book has marginally stats bonuses, and it was possible for extremely low levels to get them while the event was running. Why can’t we just swap them over?
Nobody cares o.o
People do care because it has a unikittenfect and it is almost required to stealth run the Obsidian Sanctum in WvW.
I think i already posted about this , but i guess Anet logic is:
Equip items with stats: soulbound.
Clothes without stats: Acc bound.Still i would also like to see the books acc bound , i got 3 , but maybe someday i will want a new char , and that one will lack it.
It seems that they soulbound any ‘useful’ items to prevent transfer of equip over. I think they could make an exception though for an event item with very minor stat bonuses.
Well the hat you could get for sitting in a town and doing a few emotes, the hat is also cosmetic and offers no bonuses. The 2 memoires on the other hand take a little bit of effort and time, you have to go places, fight creatures and use a device to find the pages. I did it on seven characters to have seven memoires so that each of them had extra stats and didn’t have to shell out 5g for a backpack.
There is no reason to make it account bound. You had more than enough time to get it on other characters (not counting if you were affected by the hurricane of course) and even if you missed it you can buy the backpacks with better stats and just transmute the item to bring the skin over.
For the arguement that I had enough time to get it, I got 3 copies for individual characters(one of which was lvl2 at the time), but it doesn’t matter because I decided to make a new character after halloween and I can’t get swap a book over to that one.
Unfortunately, soulbound items cannot be transmuted across characters, so that options out and I don’t see A-Net changing that.
I just don’t see a reason why it has to be soulbound either, it’s not like you could bring multiple and stack them on a character for added benefits.
It would be very nice if the book was accountbound instead of soulbound.
This seems like a fairly small concern, but this book does have a unikittenfect and is very useful for full stealth Obsidian Sanctum runs (especially when it’s being camped).
I made a new character and am somewhat disapointed over not being able to just put it in the bank and transfer it out; The event with hat is accountbound, so why is the book not?
Again, while it seems like a petty issue, it shouldn’t require much of any effort to change either, so I would appreciate A-Net considering this at the very least.
