Really? That’s great news! Going to trust you on this one, mate.
Well if that’s true, that would suck. I get that they want to make money but why would they punish people for choosing the wrong server by mistake? Now I’m forced to buy gems or farm my butt off in game to get 35g in order to play with my friends.
That’s not how it should be, and gets me pretty bummed out. Stuff like that is what makes a person wanna quit the game.
Pretty much what the title says. I took a break from GW2, friends started playing the game but are on a different server than me and now I am not able to play WvWvW with them. You see my problem.
Now my question is: Am I able to delete all my character in order to choose a different home server or am I forced to buy gems in order to do that so I can finally play with my friends?
Thank you.
But wasn’t the whole point of the game to do whatever you want to? Especially with events like this. I shouldn’t have to rely on other players to “carry” me through content, honestly.
Thanks for the feedback anyways. I’m just really bummed out by all this at the moment. And I doubt I’m the only one, according to the many topics on the forums.
And you found it fun to have to go through level 30 zones in order to complete the event?
I already said there are good things about the event. However, you can not stop me from saying that there are also negative sides to the event, and stuff that they could have done better.
Might i suggest killing monsters… They drop a ton of trick or treat bags. Needless to say, Candy corn is very easy to come by. Also you have to remember, there are 3 more updates for Halloween. Lots more to come.
Although this is true. I was not able to complete act 1, because I’m not a high level character. Aren’t these things supposed to be fun for everyone?
How am I going to complete the other acts if I can’t even complete act 1? And even if I could complete some of the acts to come, I’d still feel rather bummed out that I couldn’t complete all of the event.
The cities look great. I love the work they’ve put into redecorating the place. Other than that….
There is a TON that could have been improved. Even basic stuff like actually pointing people in the right direction of where to go (no, googling for the locations on the books is not pointing people in the right direction). And the fact that I can not do the event on a low level character, since it requires me to go to higher level zones in order to complete the event.
I expected fun mini-games (other than the costume brawl, which is kind of neat for a short while) and not having to farm Candy corn or having to buy keys in the gem store in order to actually get any reward from the event.
As you can tell, I’m very dissapointed with the event. So much that I actually can not be bothered to log on at the moment. It really bums me out that I’m not able to complete the event, just because I’m not a high level player. And there are almost no rewards whatsoever if you don’t spend actual money on gems and buy keys….
There’s a simple reason they did this; to get you to buy gems. It’s as easy as that.
Totally agree. The event is terribly chaotic and I didn’t know what to do untill I googled it myself.
I also disliked that I couldn’t complete the event as a low level character. My highest level character is 13 (because I gave my other account to my friends) and that’s just not high enough to complete the event (since it needs you to enter higher level zones in order to complete it).
The whole thing made me very sad. It tainted the view of the game so much that I just
don’t feel like logging on anymore. I just can’t be bothered too, since I looked forward to this Halloween event a lot.
