but hitting different paths quickly won’t initially draw the influence of the DR system. .
“Running through multiple speed clears back to back will result in the DR system influencing your rewards.” -Robert H 9/26
Dont these directly contradict one another?
Not necessarily. From what I’ve been able to gather from red posters there are two paralell systems in place.
1. Specific DR
2. Global DR
The specific DR kicks in if you play the same path multiple times in rapid succession. The Global DR on the other hand keeps count of totals (i.e. multiple paths) cleared in any specific time period it will take longer for this to kick in but eventually it will kick in.
The burrows you encounter in AC explorable all have a VERY annoying feature in common, their hitbox is tiny and in odd places. For some burrows there is literally one or two places where you can stand and damage it. The amount of “obstructed” popping up is just ridiculous.
On a sidenote, how does a stationary burrow evade?
I like the fact that interaction is based on account rather than character. That way you don’t have to know every single alt of a player so my vote would be for anet to keep account interaction. If you get stalked… block them
Interesting how much weight people put by a title. Personally I’d rather follow a good player without any title than an idiotic commander
If it was a nightbuff, WHEN would it be considered being night? If it’s when it’s night in europe (for EU servers obviously), which part of europe? if it was for NA, what part of NA? nightbuffs wouldn’t work either. We just have to accept that people play at different times. If people win by a lot due to nightcapping, they’ll soon move out of your league so you don’t have to worry about it.
one-handed weapons need 5 skills even if they aint that strong as two items in hands

why? they’re one-handed which means you have an off-hand that you can use as well…. Though it WOULD be interesting seeing a charr wielding a one-handed sword using both hands
A reasonable idea. Personally I’d be a happy camper (quite jolly as it is) if they somehow fixed the bug where you midfight loose your target for no reason, or circling your target and loose it, or when it runs to the side and you loose target focus… or as you said, when you pan your camera, and loose it
Integrate VOICE-Communication " in game" for party's and more?!

Integrated sound systems tend to be rather weak or bad (e.g. LotRo, WoW) not to mention an extra cost to maintain. Imo it’s better to spend those money on development of the game and leave the voice chat to 3rd party programs
Not really needed. When you spend enough time on the battlefield you’ll learn to recognize the different terms and commands (e.g. “group on the hill”, “regroup at rock”, “dredge up” etc).
This is also more exact than E7 or similar. It just takes some time to get all the places down in memory
Have to say i totally 100% disagree with this suggestion. People say that nightcapping is wrong. Why? Just because it is night time where you are doesn’t mean it’s night everywhere nor does it mean that people stop playing. Some people prefer to play during the night while for others this is the only time they CAN play. After a few cycles every server will end up in a bracket where they can fight properly.
So they capped your keeps during the night, well what are you waiting for? get them back and charge the enemy. If a server cannot maintain a 24/7 guard don’t complain that you’ve lost keeps.
As for the suggestion itself… what do you do if 9 of the 10 people in a server goes afk? Unfortunattely the suggested solution does not work. True, it looks good on paper but in reality…
A better solution would be to make the outnumbered more potent
Lets talk a bit about the guild claiming that takes place in WvW. Now, the system with guilds claiming locations and POIs and thus getting bonuses is imo brilliant. It is a good way to show your participation in WvW (as well as show off your guild banner). There is however a major flaw in the system. It works on a first come first served basis.
It rewards those who got no lag and/or those that stay behind to cap it instead of fighting off the last invaders i.e. you get more long term benefit if you stay and cap rather than fight off people. To solve this I propose the following changes to guild claiming in terms of rewarding participation in PvP and guild activities as well as making it more realistic.
First off I divide the keeps and camps into four (4) categories (t1-4).
t1 = Supply Camps (open camps with no walls/gates to break down)
t2 = Minor Keeps (a small keep that has a gate/wall to break down e.g. Anzalion)
t3 = Major Keeps (a large keep with multiple doors and lots of space i.e. “Server Keeps”)
t4 = Stonemist (lets face it, this one is a tough job to take, even more so than the server keeps)
Now, why divide them into different categories? Because they ARE different, some will be more easily defended while others will change owner all the time (Rogue’s Quarry being the prime example of the latter). The idea is that the more dedicated playerbase you have in the guild the better a keep you can claim for your guild. You’ve all seen those banners that the claimed keeps and camps fly, ever wondered where those flags came from. Why not make the flags craftable from the “War” tab in the guild? The higher the tier of the place the more batches of guild flags you will need (due to the increased amount of banner stands).
If the flags cost ~1000 influence/batch as well as having a crafting time of two days (you want them to be fancy and look good, don’t you? And the way to do that is to hire the best taillors Tyria has to offer). This way the supply of flags would be kept down (so one guild couldn’t stock up on a ridiculous amount of flags just to cap stonemist) as well as making them a valuable thing to craft for WvW guilds, obviously you’d need rights to cap things as well.
So, how many batches of flags would it take to claim certain objectives? It’s all dependant on the tier they have, the higher the tier the harder it will be to take/retake it so the harder it is, the more influence (in the form of flags) your guild needs to claim it.
t1 = 1 batch of banners
t2 = 3 batches
t3 = 5 batches
t4 = 10 batches
Now, if you claimed something and lost it you’d have to pay more to claim it again. Lets face it, if you claimed it and lost it, why would the defenders of the keep trust the defences to you once again? For every time you claim a keep/camp the cost goes up by the formula X=N*T where X = actual cost of claiming, N = number of times this location has been claimed by your guild in the current WvW cycle, T = the number of batches of banners needed for that locations specific tier.
So lets sya you claim Stonemist for your guild since the blues took it from you. So you’d have to pay X batches of guild flags for it. Now, this is also the 3rd time you’ve claimed it this cycle (you really need to work on your defenses) so you’d be paying 3*10=30 banners to claim it.
Having this system would reward the guild activity and participation better than the current claiming system. It would also serve as an incentive to actively defend your precious little keep (while ofc, if you just defend those onuses you gain are pretty useless) and at the same time add more prestige to get a keep to fly your banner.
On a sidenote, being able to “bribe” the workers of a keep to switch flags to your own guild could be fun but that would also be the source of a lot of grifing.
High level champs are badkitten :p
hmm… the kitten came from an automatic rename of the human behind

To put the orders into contemporary language
Whispers = Spies (Mossad, CIA, KGB, etc)
Priory = Scholars (University)
Vigil = Soldiers (Military)
Playing a priory ranger atm
Were the swords of comparable level and dmg range?
The easiest way to get this achievment is doing DE in mid-high level areas if you lack the resources to do it by crafting. HOWEVER, the broken exp gain is not the most dire bug when it comes to this achievment.
IT DOES NOT RESET AT THE END OF THE MONTH.
I did it late august and it still shows up as 100% (as it’s done since I got it). I still need to wait for a couple of weeks to confirm my suspicions, but it would seem that it is not tied to calender months but rather a 30/31 day timer.
So while the broken exp is annoying there’s a workaround for it (don’t port, logout, crash, start an instance, etc) there’s no workaround for it not resetting… which is annoying. On the other hand, it’s just 20-ish coins, but still… especially if you like to see things at 100% :p
The game was just released do you know how hectic it is for them right now? Theres always a lot of bugs and maintenance that they have to look into when a game is just released; Your pet not being there when the pet does nothing for you except look kind of cool is not an issue at all
I don’t have the problem, but to be fair to the people who do, they did spend like $20 more dollars for the pet so I can understand why they would be peeved.
True, but as stated the game has been out less than two weeks and ANet seems to be pushing out updates every single day (which is a feat in it’s own right). I have no doubt that this will get fixed once the more dire bugs and exploits have been dealt with. Missing a Rytlock, while still being annoying, is in no way a gamebreaker. And lets face it, Anet has been stellar on communicating what’s going on as well as fixing them in a timely manner (e.g. account securtiy > missing Rytlock) compared to some other MMOs out there (anyone remember a certain dragon from a certain game that even after XX “fixes” and almost a year still glitches more than ever?).
yes, there are things that needs fixing in the game still BUT compared to the time it has been out and what already has been fixed they have a VERY good track record
