Vortex Engine [Port] is a casual and friendly guild that has been around since Early Access. The guild started out as a small group of friends, members of a gaming community known as Epic Fail Games. For the most part we’ve been content to remain a small group of friends… But with the change in resource requirements, and the explosion in complexity and scope… We’ve decided to open up recruitment and try to grow!
Content Focus: PvE, content played PvX We mostly tend to play PvE content (story, dungeon, fractal, world bosses) and are looking to include Raids when they go live- We also experiment with PvP and WvW from time to time. We’re open to all areas of content.
Requirements We’re pretty open. We don’t require 100% representation, we don’t require you participate in any events with us. We do hope, that as we grow, we’ll find a friendly sociable group of players that are willing to work together from time to time to accomplish raids, dungeons, or other content. Just don’t be a jerk… That’s about it. No jerks. Be friendly, and not a jerk. xD
Moment of Honesty The new resource requirements for guild progression (Guild Hall, Tavern, Mine, Scribe, etc) are terrifying for a guild of 5 people. We have the Gilded Hollow, but the resource costs are insane.
One Guild Member totally said this should be our tagline: “Small group of online gaming buddies looking to take advantage of chumps looking to offload expensive and time consuming crafting components!”
While he was being facetious, he’s not entirely wrong. We want more members so we can share the burden of growth as a team and grow bigger than we have ever been in Guild Wars 2.
Have you seen me/us before? If you’ve been to a World Boss spawn in the last few weeks, there’s been a silly Charr Guardian running a Donations-Funded-Food-Drive: Providing Feasts of Orrian Steak Frittes at a certain Tea Kettle spawn, graciously accepting donations to maintain the supply of noms for each map run!
