Yea they said it was deleted because I revived an old threat, don’t know why they don’t lock them then, seems kind of biased to singled me out because I had a terrible problem with the company they work for… Yes I had showed them the receipt and they can see when my account was active (not during my pc breakdown of course) but to offer everyone else free transfers then me e mailing them during said free transfer time telling them I had issues if they could help me or extend it one day. Instead I get a reply saying that there is nothing they can do and I would have to pay if I could not log in during the time. I understand I am no special person but this is a computer game and I should not be penalized $22 something when I got this game on sale for $20 actually… It really seems ignorant to have such a stern outlook on players when people of all ages play the game. I have proof and e mails, can take a picture of my broken pc I have literally 5 feet from the new one I am using! Things happen issues arise and while they were kind enough to grant the free transfer that players had used every week up till it ended seems abusive to me asking for a free one-time transfer. In regards to your “It would not be conducive to the health of the game to grant free transfers to everyone who said they couldn’t afford it” part, I understand that. But things happen and customer service should be more kind and respectful to it’s customers. I would gladly shut up and move on if it were not for the terrible server lag I experience and do the gold/gems transfer rate.

If I would delete all my characters, would I be eligible for a free transfer seeing as there would be nothing to transfer over hence no cost? I am currently stuck on a EU server and I can’t login or play there because the lag is very very terrible. I can only get to character screen! Not log in to the actual gameplay.

My main issue was that the time I was able to use the free transfer, I had finally had my PC up and running again and Arena Net has no way for me to server transfer off the game via website around Jan 2013. Here is my little story and hopefully I can get some real help here because the ticket support people were very rude to me and even called me by my wrong name, thinking I was someone else they were speaking to and I believe they were reading another ticket while reading mine and thought me to be another person. After that, I have 0 faith in the previous support staff I had spoken to…
Well I remember when the transfers were free and I was downloading the game unable to transfer from the website. I even wrote a support ticket if they could do a extension because we all don’t own super T1 internet! I was greeted with hostility and rudeness. The reason I was re-downloading the game is because I had purchased a new PC and I could not play the game or anything on my old -dead- PC. So I only really had access to web based applications. I even showed them my receipt for my new pc I had purchased on the date near the free transfer end. They tell me they can not make any exceptions what-so-ever to me, yet I find similar people whom have had the same bad luck get a free transfer after the free service has ended. I feel that Guild Wars 2 has taken a money hungry approach towards gaming and could care less about the community. I do not have much money and what I did have I had to save up and still to this day I am paying for my PC still that I had purchased in Jan of 2013! I have had problems in other games such as from the company SOE, and they always help me out with any problems I may have and never charge me for help or if it is a paid service, they sometimes make an exception. I am now stuck on a EU server, I had no prior notice that I would not be able to play on a new server once I had chosen one to start/play on (I was playing with a EU friend who now no longer plays on GW2, and still I requested a transfer during the free transfer period to a US ANY US server and still got nasty reply’s from GW2 CSR.) I really would like to see what the community thinks of my prior misfortune with Guild Wars 2 support.
I have not been able to log-in nor play on the current server I am locked to because of my bad internet. If anyone can help me I would be very very happy!

[Incident: 130130-001372] I had the misfortune of having my PC breakdown the past entire week and just got my new one finally, I sent you guys a support ticket and you can’t even help a player who’s purchased pretty much every game NCSOFT has ever came out with. I just purchased GW2 about 1-2 weeks ago and chose a EU server on accident before computer breakdown and I did so accidentally I may add… I go to transfer today and find out I need to spend 20$+. This would not be an issue if I could actually play guild wars 2 without immense lag from EU servers and transfer gold to gem trick. Sadly life is not that easily and Arenasoft/NCsoft whatever should be a little more considerate to new players and help them out. I can’t even play guild wars 2 because the lag is terrible on the server I play in. I tried to do the go to a low pop server but there are none and no free transfers available for my account. I can show the receipt and everything from the time my PC broke down to just getting my new pc this week… The person who replied to my support E-Mail was extremely rude and did not even bother reading the entire E-Mail and somehow though I ment transferring back to my original server when I said no such words in the entire E-Mail. I realize you may not get a lot of angry players in the forums or upset players, but I feel your support team/staff could of done better with my case and dealt with it properly and professionally. I spoke to a gentleman on the fraud support team and he told me since I can’t play just get a refund and re-purchase the game and go to the server you like. Now gee if you can circumvent the server transfer via refund (I have very low level chars not worth keeping) then I do not see a problem with a one time free transfer for my account seeing as some players I have spoke to in other forums have transferred the account they own every week.
