It seemed like a good idea untill i couldnt play very often, i stoped playing for a few months and want to play again but ive missed so much of the content that came out.

Gives me no reason to play.

The other issue is your sinking development money into content that isnt permament , this game is virtually no different then it was at launch content wise theres been very little change.

I think its a failed and poorly executed system that needs to be removed in favor of real permanent content.

Game started with tons of promise but …..nothing has come of it.

If not at least we had a good April Fools and it wasn’t just a fake ad or some stupid “mechanic” that is never added to the game.

Yea, this update actually has substance. Which is really cool. Maybe some people don’t like it but it is optional. And for those on forums who can’t see, rata sum has never been more full of people enjoying the game.

Oh please the ammount of effort that went into this temporary addition is ridiculous, when the game needs so much more, they just keep adding junk, the only good thing added recently was the living story stuff, but if they would have put more time into it instead of the super box I think everyone would have been happy not just some.

Your idea of fun is different than mine, I appreciate many aspects of the game, and have had so much fun playing it that I have never played a fantasy mmo more than this, however this stuff although fun, ruins the game.

Ok sure you win, im sure it can be explained however you want, at the end of the day, some people will love it, some will hate it, me I play fantasy mmo’s for the fantasy, If i want Scifi I will play a scifi mmo (defiance tomorrow woooo) (wild star hell yeah)
But looks like this game is losing the fantasy for cheap nonsensical garbage.

whats funny is im so annoyed now, Ive actually went and signed up for the new neverwinter game….i mean really cryptic theyve never made a good game.

But I like my fantasy fantasy.

I came back a few weeks ago, and the zones are empty, leveling is a chore cause there is no one around, they used to all be at the dragons, but now even that sucks since anet changed the loot, so theres not as many people doing that either.
on the plus side they added some anime style back packs and some hoodies and now the super fun box…..hahahaha so going back on a break from this game, so not worth my time.

Oh really, so the asurans magiclly invented retro 8 bit arcade game items, ok cool, well maybe soon they can also invent a magic burger king where i can get a burger and win a chance at a paper crown.

Cause thats the world thats starting to get made, its already hard enough taking anything seriously when i saw a 8 foot tall charr warrior with a bouncing quaggan back pack on, an anoying sounding 8bit digital pet is even worse.

Im 34 and my first impression is that maybe it appeals to the xbox kids, all I know is its not what i signed on for.

Im not saying i dont like it, its fun, however it doesnt fit in this game, it makes no sense to me and destroys any sense of immersion of the game.

whatever theres no point arguing this, im done with the game, ill check back in a few months and see if its been improved.
Only reason im sitting here kittening now is cause im waiting for something else to download.

Still a shame, hope Anets gets there kitten together.

Sure ill just turn off all the sound to so i dont ahve to here anoying 8bit music in the load screen, or the anoying sounds of all the effects and pets running around.

Im not a RP player or anything but i like to be immersed in a world when i play, and this stuff destroys it.

Im happy some like it I really am, but this game is turning into something other than a fantasy mmo. Personally this makes me sad.

Game launched and its a beautiful fantasy world, possibly one of the best ive played.
But im starting to see it go down hill pretty fast.

I mean what exactly is Anets goal here? Is it not a fantasy game ?
It had some questionable concepts at first, then back packs and hoodies came out in the store…..really ? theres almost nothing worth buying as is, and 1 of the 3 armor sets looks like a reject from a bad kiss concert superhero convension..

But now theres the super box…..now im seeing people running around with digital monkeys and theres anoying digital effects and clouds……

So what is Anets goal here? some kind of hybrid game ? will I be able to buy a ford truck in the cash shop soon ? maybe a skate board ?

Am I the only one disapointed by this stuff? The game has the potential to be a fantastic fantasy world and instead its turning into some kind of mashup of american mmo game play and nonsensical japanese anime styling .

Can someone explain the point im missing ?

You’re not stuck at 3/4. You can have it in 2 minutes if only you wanted it.

You clearly don’t want the monthly.

Listen … crafting was the easiest part of this monthly. And by easy, I really mean rediculously easy. It costs less than 20s from TP prices, and can be done with barely 50 weaponsmithing. If that’s too much for you, indeed you really don’t want the laurels.

So I really wonder how you come to the conclusion that you’re somehow stuck while clearly you’re not. This blockade is entirely self inflicted but not really there.

Ah hostility, why ? I have no desire to start at 1 and go to 50, i dont have the resources nor the desire to grind, because i dont enjoy it, so why should i ? Im fine accepting I wont complete the monthly acheivement however I figured I would post here and see what others think.
If the best you can come up with is durr just craft cause thats just the way it is…then carry on and flame away.

As i said there is no reason it cant be broken into sections, and despite your OMG CRAFTING IS AWESOME mentality that im sure is swimming around your little brain, a good trade market has a mix of players that craft and dont craft, those that sell there resources those that buy, those that sell there gear and those that buy it.

Its a necessary part and therefor should be considered in game design.

I was wondering why my monthly acheivement progress was stuck, and then i noticed….crafting, i dont like crafting, I dont craft, I wont craft, its not my thing
But its super anoying that im stuck at 3/4 lol.

Why cant monthly acheivements be broken into sections, pvp is already seperate.

So why not have something like
pvp
dungeons
pve
crafting/harvesting.

OR

make it a complete 3 of 4 type thing like dailies are complete 1.

Anyways i see no reason why it cant be more accesable to different peoples play styles.

If we are lucky they will do something stupid like run it again, hahaha like I will sit through another couple hours of that grind fest to risk getting nothing again, easily the worst event ive ever seen in a mmo

also that changed my swear words to kitten….that made me smile but im still kittening mad

This is BS, 2 hours i spent grinding and dieing and racking up a huge repair bill, and because of the kitteny kitten lag I get disconected at the end and dumped into a different zone that already finished it, now i dont egt my rewards or anything.

all i can say is kitten YOU, im gonna go play something else that was the last straw for me.
