Instead of sharing some love to SOR and make tier1 much more competitive, those random ex-Ta guild, WM and Ruin decide to stack on one server to make a new HOD, so they can zerg and PVD more.
(unlike random ex-Ta guilds who think they are some sort of pvd god, WM is a great guild , so no offence nor discredit to WM though, people are still respecting you guys, just want to point out some facts)
Hate to tell you this, but I joined RUIN when it was on Blackgate and that was in December. Methinks you speak before knowing the facts. I’m afraid you need to find another excuse for the loss this week.
Devon,
Your post still does not address how bad this idea is. Granted, in tier 1 or 2, this isn’t such a bad thing as we have the populations to tag all the siege most of the time, but on tier 3 or less servers where there are only a handful of people on over night, ALL the siege in towers will despawn. I can see the morning guilds fleeing WvW in droves as the first thing they will have to do when they log in is replace ALL siege in EVERY tower/keep. This will get expensive quick. Bad idea all around.
I can personally vouch that all siege did not despawn before the patch. When you get to a fully upgraded tower and there are still rams on the door from the force that took it over 3+ hours ago, it obviously hasn’t despawned. Well wonderful, Anet. Now no one will be putting down siege in towers as it will be gone when we really need it.
Arrow carts, ballistae and catapults should not despawn when placed inside a tower. Please think about the consequences of some of these changes. This is a half-baked idea at best.
I sure hope so because we have a siege guy that solo builds in the towers that was seriously emo after the notes were released.
•Siege sites are now destroyed 2 minutes after being placed if they receive no supply.
Really? This makes leaving people behind to siege up towers and keeps almost impossible if they need to run supply from the camps, especially on reset nights when none of the towers or keeps have any supply so ALL must be run from the camps to let the fortifications complete. You’ll almost have to have two people – one sitting at the build site putting 2 supply on at a time while the other runs from the camps in order to keep out of despawn danger. In EB, this may not be a big deal in some areas as camps are close by, but in the BL’s, this is HUGE as there is at least a 2 min. run round-trip to get supply. Why not 5-10 minutes so that players can run supply from the camps instead of risking the bp’s despawning?
Come on Anet, think!!!
I just think it is kinda stupid that if I have been playing the game for a while and want to use my in-game rewards for some of the sales – especially if a market exists to turn my in-game rewards (gold) into gems – that I basically can’t take advantage of the sale. It’s like Anet is giving a discount to everyone EXCEPT the people who put a lot of time into the game. For someone who has played a lot and is on the verge of quitting (i.e. due to culling in wvw, tired of the gear grind, etc.), this could just be the last straw.
I’m just saying it would have been nice for Arenanet to freeze the exchange rate for a day or two so they don’t screw over their loyal player base who don’t want to have to sink more money into a game or can’t afford to.
O.K., Arenanet is hyping the February patch by putting a sale on bag slots and bank tabs. Awesome. Only one problem – the conversion cost for gold to gems just skyrocketed. Now you’ve just kitten off a lot of players who want/need gems for other things and the people who would take advantage of the sale get screwed because their “savings” are eaten up by the gouging in currency transfer.
Could you not have frozen the conversion cost before the change? Sheesh! Only Arenanet could screw up a free lunch!!!
Thanks, but no thanks, Arenanet.
I understand why there are map chat restrictions. However, I think these should be relaxed for active commanders in a WvW map. People with commander tags need to be able to give orders in map chat and let others who may not be in a mumble/TS/Vent server know what the plan of action is. Otherwise the zerg will just scatter on available targets.
I was following a commander that I happened to be on a voice server with and they had to delegate someone to chat each time because their map orders were being supressed due to usage limitations. There should be some additional messages allowed for folks with active commander tags to prevent this. Just my 2c.
I was defending Stonemist with a cannon mounted on one of the third floor catwalks – Northeastern side. A ranger, I believe, walked somewhere under the platform and summoned a pet Jaguar that appeared on the third floor and began attacking me and the cannon, eventually killing me and destroying the cannon. The first time he did this, I was able to fight the pet off, but he almost immediately did it a second time which leads me to believe that this was an exploit and not just a bug.
I am assuming that pets are not supposed to be summoned so far away and inside of a structure being sieged by the master.
Or you could just trade the fangs for money and the money for claws? Seriously? Can you imagine what the trading screen would look like if people could offer a barter transaction? There would be 1,000,000 combinations for each item for things people wanted. Factor in that not all items are equal (even just using “tiny” or “small” items as examples) and you have one messed up system. Just keep it simple. Sell what you have and use that money to buy what you want.
Along that same line, I think it would be useful to see a description of what things we have done so far when we have to collect/kill/etc. multiple types of things. For instance, on the daily tracker, listing out which types of enemies I have killed so I know which to avoid/not care about if I want to finish out the daily requirement to kill 15 types of enemies. In the heat of battle, especially in WvW, it can be difficult to keep track of your kills.
