Thanks for another guide to help us new players. I really hope this gets pinned to the top with your other post. I found them to be a valuable resource in understanding the game.

Thank you, I was wondering if RP is a focus of the guild or is it something that some members do but not a main aspect of the guild?

I am interested in getting back into an RP guild after many years outside. I am new to GW2 and not well versed in the lore. I hope to get my back into an RP environment and see if it takes off. I am looking for a guild that can handle breaking character from time to time without it turning into a point of contention. Mature players are preferred but I am by no means a stick in the mud.

I have no interest in copious cybering.

My server is Tarnished Coast and although I am aware of guesting I am not sure I want the hassle of it. Currently I have a 30ish Norn Warrior as my primary character.

As for class I am attracted to the Mesmer, Ranger, and Engineer. Are any of these better at teaming with a Thief and can any of these do good supporting heals or buffs?

Will there be any issues if I make a Norn and travel to the human city? and level up from there?

My friend and I are starting the game together and I just had a couple questions. We are both new to the game and I didn’t see a better forum to ask in.

He is a Human Thief. I want to start in the same area so we can play from the beginning. Is race the only factor in starting areas?

What would be some good compliments to the Thief for duo play?

If I want to play a totally different race is there a way to meet up and play early on?
